Just want to give skype the thumbs up! I use it to call home to England all the time and my uncle talks for over an hour at a time! Perfect for people like us who only use mobile phones other wise.

Great Promotion ...wish the country I want to call to was playing in the WC :-( ...too bad for me but a nice for others

I checked the regular Sype LD rates for the country I want to call to ...they are more expensive than my current rates with G3 Telecom Long Distance :-(

I love Skype. I don't even have long distance on my landline anymore. I bought one of their unlimited packages (http://buy.skype.com/paymonthly/?cou...bscriptionsTab) and have a cordless skype phone from Vtech (which I LOVE).. Works perfect! Can't go wrong with $3 a month to anywhere in Canada/US.

I have been using Skype for just over two months for international calls. So far so good in terms of service. At the time I signed up I was just looking for something short term, no contract. The unlimited plan was the best and cheapest option. I am considering becoming a regular Skype customer as soon as I get rid of Bell!

Boy, oh, boy, I sure thought of this when we got our phone bill this week - we usually don't call long distance, but my husband called his mom in Eastern Europe, and even with a time of day discount, it was over $136 for 90 minutes. (I didn't mind, really, he doesn't contact them often, even through email, although I'm always encouraging it!)

Are you kidding me ??? ...which country was it & which home phone line / LD do you have ?
I have BELL for home land line ( local calls only ) but my long distance is with G3 Telecom
http://www.g3telecom.com
Almost All the East European countries on G3 Telecom are less than 10 c / min ...the call you made shouldn't have cost you more than 10 bucks !!!
