I always leave my SC on "on", I never log off...I should be studying more, but there is so much to browse online as Lynn49 said...I love looking at new recipes online, and I always have to drop in to SC..
One thing I do not like about internet though, is how writing letters and sending real photos has gone by the wayside...I personally do not like electronic greeting cards and I prefer a phonecall or a letter from relatives faraway rather than emails...just call me old fashioned I guess...I still enjoy sending real cards and hand written letters..

I had an IBM when I was growing up with a 5" Floppy, then an Apple with a 3.5" which was so cool at the time. Then moved on to a IBM with a CD Rom which was the greatest thing. Then the CD Burner and next was DVD with CD then DVD Burner and CD Rom and now I have an old IBM with 3.5" and CD Rom in my Den with an external DVD Burner. Upstairs my dw laid claim to a 3gb RAM and 291gb hd, touch screen Acer with High Def, internal CD/DVD Rom and Burner with Windows 7.

I miss the days where the computer did not dominate life. Things were so much better imo

You don't have to let the computer dominate your life; it's all about choices.

I am not saying it dominates my life. Just that it dominates life in general as everything is run by computers. It has it good points and bad points, but in general I feel it has done more harm than good from a social aspect.

Hmm...let's see...I typed my school assignments on a typewriter...used the Yellow Pages in hard copy....phoned places to confirm whether or not they were open instead of checking Google...spent a lot more time face-to-face with friends...and a lot more time on the telephone.
