--sorry--did not mean to sound grumpy--one of the news shows says they stated that they got them from recycling centers--but the cops say that the representives of the recycling centers say they do not know of these two women. The coke rep. says no way--then no comment.
Again, I am sorry if I sounded grumpy--I think these scammers just give "online contest players" a bad name.

In Quebec, there are recycling machines for pop cans and plastic pop bottles. when i go grocery shopping i always check the machines to see if someone took the caps off and left them. Last year i was able to find at least 3-4 every time. Now im lucky if i find 1 a week! So i was just wondering how those women did that.

They "might" have bought them on ebay or listia or craigslist. Doubtful. They likely know someone at a recycling centre somewhere even if now locally.

This morning on KTLA morning news show (LA), it finally 'leaked' out! These women (not proved yet!) were muniplating the numbers (they figured a code breaker to produce contest winning numbers). Again, it was speculated that someone inside coke or the company that manages their cokerewards site gave them the program or the winning pin numbers. It was all chatted about--like they do on the KTLA show--and at the end the said this is all speculation because the autorities are not releasing information yet--guess they want to arrest more people!
Somehow, I think we will probably never know the whole story.
(and my DH says I have to stop fixating on this subject!)

Yes you can stack them...you can make an account and deposit them as you get them (one a. Week)...I had them all in my hotmail and had like a hundred dollar order...

am i the only one who spotted the line "Contest rules also specified that a person could win only twice and a household only five times during the four-month promotion." in the article.. meaning.. you can have more then one account per household?? in canada you can't (hubby lost an account with over 50k worth of icoke points in it due to this rule)
