Screamy... what are you doing online? You should be resting!
Although it can be quite boring to be sleeping the entire day...
Ethan and I will miss you... You get better soon, and when we come back beginning of October... we shall go out for coffee, and Ethan can have a bit of love from Aunty Screamy!

Hi, guys.
I managed to change my flight from Sep 5th to early morning on Sep 4th.
So, I will be on my way to Asia by tomorrow, 10:30 pm. Now just busy packing and running some last minute errands, while trying to stay calm. (Ethan seems to be picking up on my hurriedness! GAH!)
Anyhow, we'll see you guys in October when we come back!
Byeeeeee!

Well, hubby really wanted to leave on the Saturday, as it will give us a full day in Hong Kong on Sunday...
I wasn't able to book it previously, but last night, when I check flight statuses... the seats were released back into the inventory, and I grabbed 2 of them!
I will still be seeing you tomorrow though, right? I am only leaving 10:30 at night...At the right time, a kind word from a stranger, or encouragement from a friend, can make all the difference in the world. Kindness is free, but it's priceless. ~ Doe Zantamata

If you are taking CX, it is better to do the 1AM - you have a better chance to sleep. I booked our trip for Chinese New Year but with 3-3 years old, I think I have a better bet taking the 2pm flight.
I feel tired just thinking about the packing.....!

OMG, Trips, just thinking about a 15-hour flight with ONE three-year-old would be enough to make me want to have my tubes tied.
You're a brave, brave woman...!!

To be exact, the flight to S'pore (with CX which is the most direct) is about 22 hours or so. Door-to-door, it is easily 26 hours. After I bought my tickets, I went and poured myself a BIG glass of wine.
I don't know if brave is the right word. Stupid (delusional, insane, naive) would probably be more apt. But this is what is waiting for me at the other end: http://www.nikoi.com/photo.html
At least that's what I tell myself between now to next Jan

My boss does the trip to Singapore at least once every two months or so - I don't know what he makes, but it can't be enough to compensate for the travel time and associated crud...OMG.

Hi, guys! Am in Hong Kong International Airport now!
Ethan was an absolute trooper... Only cried twice... Once was on the ride to Pearson airport (he was angry that he was not asleep by then), and the other time was at around 2 pm (Toronto time) when we missed his nap window...
Other than that, we had an awesome flight... The flight attendants adored Ethan!
