My family and I went to Wendys today and it was soooo gross! here is what I sent them about my experience. I usually find it not too big of a deal if food is a little cold or something so when I complain it is because it was awful. The food was stone cold! seriously. not exagerating! eeww! So I let them have it!

basically it was horrible. we haven't been to Wendy's in a few months because the last experience we had was bad in Red Deer and I wish I had complained then too now. ok where to start.... slow service and we got to the counter and the order was taken. we waited for a long time despite there being very little of a line up. Then as we were waiting for our food another gentleman came up because he had a wrong burger which I think was apparently a burger we were supposed to have so instead of it being thrown out I think it was placed on our tray. I am not positive but it appeared that this is what happened. Then we finally got our order and the order was incorrect as well. I had to go back and say that I had ordered a Jr. Hamburger deluxe and not a jr cheeseburger with bacon which looked gross by the way. I don't like the bacon at Wendys-it's limp and not very good. So I had to wait AGAIN. I finally got a burger and went back to the table. My burger was cold. The fries were cold and tasted GROSS. My family also had cold burgers and we all found the fries tasted disgusting. I felt they left this awful aftertaste in my mouth and like my mouth was lefted coated in grease. McDonalds has way better fries. There was also no salt that I could find on the fries. Also we are very dissapointed that now the jr meals only come with a small fries and small drink. We normally get this meal because it is a nice amount. Not any more. Both Dairy Queen and McDonalds are cheaper and have better food. I went to Wendys wanting to give Wendys another shot and I was more than dissapointed. the food was so bad I felt like we wasted money and we could not finish the fries. I normally am not one to complain too much about food and it sort of is not too big of a deal but this was unacceptable. The restaurant was not even busy and we had to wait. I was tempted to say that we go across to Tim Hortons and wish now that we had. I have nothing good to say about this experience. I don't see me spending money at Wendys for a long time. I thinkI am willing to drive the extra distance to go somewhere else where I know my money is not being wasted.

Somethings def going on at Wendys, Im in Ontario and the last three times I've been there the hamburgers have been cold. I started ordering them with specific items on them so I know they don't sit at all and to be honest their making them right in front of me and are still cold. I don't know if the toppings make them insta cold or what!
I find Wendys has slowly been going downhill since Dave passed on.
Kinda like they over salt their fries now. When Dave was alive they didn't even salt them.
Now theyve followed the USA ones with three different sizes and still most recently changed to thick sliced apple wood bacon, which is great but its really fatty and not cooked enough to be good.
Sigh, unfortunately Wendy's use to be my favourite, its going down on the list. Still above burger king though.Last edited by Sally888; Sat, Dec 12th, 2009 at 01:15 AM.

Always custom order your burgers (even if its like extra pickle- you can always take some off???) and ask for no salt on the fries (its better for you and they make them piping HOT and fresh! Not the ones sitting there for 20min!)

So aparently I am not the only one who has had the same problem. DH LOVES Wendys and yet we never, EVER go there for exactly your reasons - cold yucky fries and bugers that limp and chilly (ever notice the soggy buns). Did you speak to management about this?

And if you ever order the chicken burgers, 50% of the time you have to wait 5min while they make it. They apparently don't sell many of them at night or something.
Honestly, fast food is all fast food and just that, for those that say they avoid fast food places, that's great that you do cause the stuff is awful for you. But some of us keep going back when we are lazy or just plain starving!

dealsniffer, that's too bad. Write a letter to the manager explaining - but the funny thing might be that he might send you coupons for Wendy's!
I don't like Wendy's, but my son loves it.
Nothing beats a Whopper (especially on cheap Whopper Wednesday), but BK fries aren't the best. Mickey D's wins for fries, and I love a Big Mac - but it's gotten too expensive to eat there. Overall, A&W is the winner for us, again only when they have coupons, though.
We have been lucky to find a very nice restaurant here that does takeout with monster homemade burgers and homecut fries (they have to be the best ever!) for the same price as a fast food place - we just had them two days ago.

A&W is probably the most expensive with Wendys and Mcdonalds. Mcdonalds being the cheapest.

How can you compare the Keg to a fast food restaurant?
Whenever we go we sit, enjoy our drink and read the menu. It isn't a "fast food" dining experience.
Yes, you were right to complain about the meat. But to compare a "dining" experience with a "fast food" experience is way off topic.
Wendy's -- Why do they always run out of the baked potatoes? It's the only thing that I go for and the last three times they were out!

I have a friend that works for the company that makes Wendy's buns. When they were packaging some of the buns but the boxes that had the bags the fresh buns were to go into was full of earwigs, inside all of the bags. He told me seeeing so many earwigs made him gag.
They called Wendys asking for them to arrange for more bags to be sent so they could package the buns. Wendy's told them to shake the bugs out a use the bags.
I always remeber this story just after I've order my COLD Wendy's burger!
