Winnipeg just got their first big Snow. It seems like every year on the first snow, everyone forgets what ice is and that their car doesn't handle very well on it. Oh well I just walk to work anyways.

Did your hubby make it to work safe kekes? I was 15 min late but my car and I made it all in once piece. I take the perimeter hwy to work and did notice a few cars in the ditch though. i agree with you totally martenswd.....lots were driving fast this morning, some really need to slow down when the roads are that bad

Prairiebelle, thanks for asking, dh made it to work this a.m. safe and sound, he called 15 mins. after start time. We got new winter tires on the van $$$$ but he said well worth it, tires hugged the road. He said #8 need plowing, few ruts here and there. .... martenwd ... walking isn't always safe either, I was crossing main street Selkirk Nov 24th last year and down I went. Concussion and all! amazing I didn't crack the skull. Sadly lots of reprecussions from that fall that I am still dealing with, some problems will never leave. oh well... It finally stopped snowing! even the dogs don't want to go out! lol

Durham Regional Police have confirmed four additional cases in which Dayquil cold medicine pills have been discovered inside sealed Halloween-size boxes of Smarties candy.
The first discovery was made by a Grade 5 student in Pickering, who found a Dayquil capsule in her candy when she opened a Smarties box at school. Four additional cases have been reported since then.
A spokesperson for Nestle, which makes Smarties tells CP24 that production has not stopped at the Toronto facility and an internal investigation is underway.
