Has anyone ever won anything from those SheKnows hourly contests?
I'm just wondering if it is worth my time to enter them or not...
much like almost everything else from there! LOL
(Till lately!)

I just started entering them about 2 weeks ago. I definitely don't enter them every hour but there are 4 DVD's I'd like to win. I read on the site (somewhere that I can't find now!) that they won't post the winners names for privacy reasons. Doesn't make much sense since they post them for every other contest. Actually, I think non-P&Per's can enter those contests so I guess it does make sense.

hey guys working on vocals for auditions that are in two weeks yikes! am doing ok reading the sheet music but I havent heard the song so dont know what it sounds like on piano and its required that they play for us while we sing so hopefully i can fake that one LOL I should do ok though I can read music so it should be all good

well, i forgot never to have hubby rent a movie w/o me. remember that classic family movie about the children living on the farm? yup..that's the one..CHILDREN OF THE CORN.

SCENE 1. bunch of poachers going thru tropical woods.
next shot..action, blood everywhere, guy looks like his face has been chewed..but it's not next scene..

lots of bloody, i think they intended it to be gory, but it looks fake, and was not scared at all.

and alot of flaws in movie. like when one of the main character "relieves those horrifying moments?" she wasn't even in the room to have seen the scene she is supposedly remembering.

david hassolf was good. surprisingly. the professor from sliders was pretty good. hard to hear him swear tho..seems outta character..or maybe i'm sterotyping him

but overal, what a stupid crock of crap. and they ended it so they're probably gonna make stupid crock of crap #5.

tg i rented this with my rogers free movie rental.

off to bed. gnite all. will keep u posted on the car. hubby is all crippled up tonight..but he has been that way anyway. no new aches or pains from the car. he didn't hit anything, the car pushed him across the road. and blair was not stopped like i thought he was driving, and got bumped, so maybe that's why. just got a turbo boost to work.

police don't believe that all the damage on the other guys car was just from hitting ours. hmm.. very interesting.

Rose, what's the name of the song? Have you tried doing a web search to see if there is a recording online somewhere? Sight reading at an audition would be scary.

Thanks I will need it cause its for GREASE! and I soooooo badly want a part that I cant think of not getting a part its not an option...and I want to be rizzo soooo badly but idk what they will see me as...plus I have another audition in Dec that I have to read a play over for and pick a scene to audition with its a two person two act play! lots of lines if I get it LOL so if I get that I will have to be mia by force, will have to get boo to ban me if I get that one.

On My Own - Les Miserable...I have a crappy version I downloaded from youtube to get the jist of it but its not very great I can sight read better then they can play it LOL so havent really heard a good version of it...
idk if it will be that scary...I think I have it down ok just hoping whoever plays it can actually play it right but it doesnt look too difficult to play so all should be well...am hoping my sister gets the keyboard she wants and then I am teaching myself how to play LOL then I wont have to worry about stuff like this I could play it myself...

That's a great song! I sang it in a recital once. I wish we were closer together--I'd help you rehearse it. The piano part stays with the vocal most of the time, and it is not too elaborate, so it shouldn't be too hard to put together if you know the vocal. Have you looked on iTunes for a recording? You could also check your public library to see if they have a recording of Les Mis that you could check out. If you need any help with the vocal, just let me know. I was a voice major in college and have taught voice lessons. Best wishes on that audition!

I noticed that the piano and vocals were pretty much together so didnt think it would be too hard to adapt to. I did check out the library and all they had was either the book or the book on CD not the actual play downloading takes forever on dial up so I leave that up to my sis LOL will see if she feels like looking for me someday...
ugh I recorded my voice tonight doing that song haha I think I should be ok...idk why my voice teacher liked my voice so much LOL whenever its recorded I think I sound like a man I have a raspy well not really raspy idk what word im looking for breathy? idk LOL but I seem to have a lower sort of voice its annoying I want a clear pretty voice no fair haha but hey at least I may get rizzo then if I cant do soft and pretty
been working on the high stuff apparently I'm told I can do it and it sounds ok but I'm still not sure so I keep doubting myself with that stuff...

lolcat there was somethings I really wanted from the contests awhile back and I actually wrote down every hour what time I entered and pretty much entered around 10 times a day at least, didn't win a thing I seem to be the unluckiest person when it comes to contests. I spend at least and hour or two a day entering contests like the HGTV product of the day lmao I've entered that one for last couple years and yet to win but I must be a optimist cuz I just keep entering. And those dam Allure contests especially the tons of prizes they give away in August, don't know how in the world you can enter every 5 hours every day monday thru friday and not win something but I can. Some people I know on another site win multiple items while I don't win a thing. Only thing I seem to be lucky at is the Hanes wedgie free wednesday undie giveaway. So far have won 3 pairs of undies from that. Someone wins tho so I keep trying good luck to you!
