NS I am so sorry to hear about your brother in law. May he rest in peace. It will definitely be hard on the family but as you said they have religion to guide them through this and that is important.
Keep us posted on Seek's son, hope everything will be okay.

If you've never formatted a computer before then I don't recommend you do it yourself. It's easy to find the instructions on the internet telling you how to do it but good luck finding help if you come across a problem and things aren't working the way they should. Is the guy at work coming to your house to format the computer or do you have to bring it to him? It would be better if he came to your place to do it because then you can get him to install your other programs and ensure that they are working properly. $40 would be a deal to get that done.
While my computer was under warrenty at Future Shop I had to bring it in and they copied everything that was on my hard drive, formatted it, then copied everything back to the hard drive again. Half the programs didn't work so I ended up formatting it myself and re-installing everything - with help from a friend who is a computer tech.
