We have a local radio station that has been playing all Christmas since the first week of November. Little too early for me. Plan to start decorating the day after Thanksgiving.
Thanks for all the new words. I never get the newsletters anymore, have requested them several times.

Wasn`t there a tv show about the aliens amongst us (many I think). There was also the Star Trek flick where Spock fitted in perfectly in San Francisco (I`m sure there`s a transvestite joke there somewhere, but I`ll be good).
When I first moved to my condo, they were filming one of those Day of or Dawn of - something of the Dead movies a block away. At first it was really weird to see a charred bus flipped upside down on the sidewalk & a helicopter crashed nose first into a lot. Within a week, folks barely gave it a second glance.
When my dog was a pup, I took her out to see the filming of Assault on Precinct 13. There were 3 helicopters, lots of explosions & gunfire - true to her city girl self, my dog was more interested in flirting with the crew than being bothered with the craziness around her.
I got hooked on Dresden Files last year, after I watched them filming some of the exterior scenes across the street from me. There`s another one about the, er, alternate universe within our own.

wow that must be awesome to see!
thats what I loved about TO when I was there
they were filming a movie in the Eaton centre when I was on a school trip last winter, they were looking for extras and I soooo badly wanted to do it but my sis and friends said no way and started to ditch meand you had to have a group of friends cause thats what they wanted, I was pissed and I'm still holding it against them LOL it would have been so awesome to put on my acting resume
they also had random signs around the mall saying if you walked past a certain point you were giving over your rights to them and that they can show shots of you in the movie without compensation or credit blah blah blah so my sis and I want to rent the movie just to see if we might be in it

My claim to fame is as a flight-sick passenger stumbling past the camera on an episode of Earth Final Conflict.
When I was in university a friend of a friend dragged me onto a set as an extra in some silly tv movie (can`t remember the name). I was supposed to be at a rock concert where a riot breaks out. Only they forgot to tell us that there were stuntmen in the audience. One minute I`m cheering & waving my arms, the next thing I know some guy is flying past me & crashing into the chairs in front of me. Scared the living daylights out of me. The only part of me that didn`t end up on the cutting room floor was my elbow.
I also spent 3 hours driving in circles for the Segal film Exit Wounds. Never did see any trace of my old VW (now long gone) in that flick.
Being an extra is very boring work. It`s fun if you like watching the techs & a good way to learn about all aspects of the business, but not necessarily the best way to break into the business. You spend 5 hours waiting for a shot to be set up, only to spend 5 minutes walking past a storefront, then back to a room to wait.
Oh, I almost forgot my most memorable role - on Nikita, I was a refugee trudging across the border with a pile of luggage. It was a bitterly cold day & we were down in the portlands (warehouse area with lots of cold windy empty lots). The star of the show (Peta Wilson) was a real trooper - she stayed out in the bitter cold with the lowly extras instead of hanging out in her nice warm trailer. That was impressive.

Thanks for the new words. I have been off and on the pc due to email issues the past few days so now I am trying to get caught up. Looks like a bunch of people have found a large amount of the thanksgiving words.. the two leaders are at 6770 and the next largest group is at 5780. I am 100 points behind at 5680 right now.
I am still clueless as to where all they are finding these words. I look on all the partner links and have not found anything that stands out as a thanksgiving word.
It is cold here tonight and due to get colder. I want my fall weather back.

Well I feel like garbage tonight
It is snowing out and a bit of a storm for those who don't know how to drive in the snow. So I realized around 5ish that I have run out of milk, my husband is out in the west end and may take hours to get home. So I call my neighbours and no one is home. I called my brother in law who works minutes away and he gets it for me. As he is leaving my area some guy hits him as he losses control of the car and runs into my bil. I feel like garbage...I mean he is fine and so is the guy who hit him but his tire is flat and the frame on the drivers rear is ruined. So he is sleeping here now and will use our car til he calls the insurance tomorrow and figures out what is happening.

Hi everyone! I'm behind on reading the thread because of too much work to do, but I wanted to say hello and share a funny story. Now, I know that seeing people who live alternate lifestyles is very common these days, but I couldn't help taking a second look the other day. I went in a drug store to pick up a few things that were on sale. The person behind me in the checkout line was obviously a transvestite, or cross dresser, or something. (I can't keep up with all the variations!) He had on a velour jogging suit and a pink ballcap with the word "princess" spelled out in rhinestones on it. The pink and white rhinestone shoulder-duster earrings matched the cap. Whatever. No big deal. BUT...he had a dark afternoon shadow beard...kind of ruined the "look"!

amy, I'm sorry you feel so bad. I hope you get good news from the insurance company. Please don't beat yourself up about the accident. It is not your fault. Those things just happen sometimes. Thank goodness your bil is ok. ((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))

I gave them a bath and let her walk around naked for a long time to "air it out"... she loved that ... her little skinny butt was flying all over the house, till she peed on the kitchen floor and looked so sad. She just stood there saying "pee... pee" over and over in the saddest little voice. LOL I do use the cornstarch as well.. and for bedtime I put the desitin cream on her to give it a little more protection. Poor girl
Oh Amy... That SUCKS. Try not to get upset over it, at least no one was hurt, and stuff like that happens. I know you probably ARE beating yourself up, but don't make me come over there and stop you. By beating you up. lol... *HUGS*
