Either of those are good because they have a removable hood which is nice for finer weather (not so bulky) but I would also suggest checking out Zellers and Walmart - you might find something there that will serve the purpose for a better price (better sales at Zellers/Walmart). I suggest a hiking style boot for walking back and forth to the school - you want to be sure you have a good grip for icy days.

I haven't checked WM yet. I looked at Zellers but since there's an ongoing sale, the items seem to have already been picked over and way too big for my size. I looked at boots too. Is Tender Tootsies any good?

no clue about their jackets. i'm columbia all the way..well ds and dh are since i picked them up used for 12-30 bucks. i still need to snag one for myself.

but they do have really good boots! those grr..trying to think of the name..sol? soleil? grr..help me here ppl! they are fantastic. they make evrything from kids winter boots to -40 below workboots. well worth the money trust me. hubby used to work as a garbage man. pushing those huge containers in blizzards on ice, you needed something you dind't fall on your ass with. and they made them in steel toe to!

marks had a $10 off g/c when you buy $50 worth of stuff. but mine exp in NOV. keep an eye out for those. check with others, they're maybe new ones out. i found mine in one of their flyer/catalogues.

Yeah, I got that $10 off WUB $50 worth plus Mark's has a Save 20% on everything storewide on Sat, Nov 29th, 5pm onwards, which is why I asked about this store in particular.

I tried on size 9 of those Tender Tootsies, they fit well I think, perfect for wearing thick socks.

Am I right we should get boots 1 size bigger than what we normally wear?

yep she called around 11 said she feels better and should be home tomorrow but I have to do all the cooking and housework cause she isnt allowed to do anything for four weeks...so I don't expect to be around much for a month and there goes Christmas shopping I think and we still havent finished my sisters stuff and havent even started dad's
also means no driving so I may finally be allowed to drive on my own without her when I have to go send my aunt's christmas card and gift next friday and pick up my sis from school so that kind of makes me happy have had my full license since end of August and havent been allowed to drive on my own yet, meanwhile my 17 year old cousin got his G2 end of Oct and he drives everyday and yet I'm still not allowed too so hoping I get to LOL

Oh and I got the ok to turn the internet on for the afternoon but I have to shut it off when I go start the chili at 2 and I have to shut it off at 4 till dad gets home in case he calls then I can turn it back on tonight for an hour then have to shut it off for 8 in case my sis gets back from band early and has to call home LOL so I should get a few hours in and hopefully talk to my auntie hope I didnt freak her out with the message I left her yesterday morning need to update her on how her adopted sis is

Honestly we have been wondering if she was OC, you cannot move anything in her room, main reason I dont go in there, is if it is moved even half an inch, even a cm, she notices and freaks, it has to be exactly where she had it. We have been trying to get her to go through her stuff to get rid of some things and she cant, freaks out, breaks down, says she cant move anything from her room it has to stay where it belongs. Dolls belong in their place, bed spread, everything. I was going to talk to doc. thats why I started the rule they put their own laundry away, as she freaked out if I didnt put her clothes int he exact spot they were to go, not that i knew which shirt went in which spot.
A bit ago we had tried to get her to change direction of bed, and she couldt, completely broke down, said she just couldn't.

We are getting her to put some toys together in a separate place so the kids can play with those and she hopefully wont be upset, she 's not lacking in the toy department, so hopefully that helps next time

yep sounds OCD to me and I have OCD lol believe me its stressful when people touch stuff that is mine...idk why but I never let anyone borrow anything not even my sis hardly ever cause I dont like it my sis on the other hand lends her friends everything and is completely ok with it...

she just likes to complain want to know what she said when she called and I told her about dad making chili in a frying pan this morning at 6:00 well after she called him a dumba$$ she told me to go add the black beans, green pepper and onions to the crock pot like she usually does it wont kill him LMAO
so guess he is getting all the stuff I like in chili afterall and he can blame mom for that one
I have to go at 2 and saute all the stuff and take the pot out of the fridge and let it get to room temp before I turn it on so I dont shatter the glass...

oh and NS I'm not sure its possible for her to get more biotchy then usual LOL she does that well enough when she is perfectly healthy...and I'm pretty sure she is immune to surgery she goes in every couple of years and has something wrong and removed...dont think she has that much left that can be taken out...but she always waits till last minute to go to doc or hospital they told her if she had of waited a few more days her appendix would have burst and she would have died...well a few years ago when she had her twisted ovary they told her the same thing LOL she just takes drugs and deals till its almost too late

LOL two problems with that though...one she knows I am a good cook I did iron chef a few years ago at school and won a $500 scholarship LOL
and two we dont have a dog

My appendix ruptured and was leaking inside or something I was told a few years back, was sick then I fainted on my stairs, went to hospital and it burst just as got there they had to take out some of my intenstine I think it was with it..was very close I was told..so glad she got it in time, thats when I learned not to put things off when feel like crap..lol

I had sharp pains on my side very nauseous, I have high pain tolerance thats why I didnt think anything of it. Then I fainted, pain was so bad.

ugh, that pain can be mistaken for so many other things couldn't it? like bowels, ovaraires, stomache?

on another note, ryan is on way home, had to be spoken to after school. he told girl he was sitting next to to write *something* on window of bus. SO SHE GOES AND DOES IT. ugh

they are putting i think most of the blame on him. but i told them she's accoutable for what she does..

he's getting a consequence on monday.
