This recipe sounds so good want to try it next week.
Roast Pork Loin with Sour Citrus Sauce
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed yellow grapefruit juice (from 1 medium grapefruit)
- 1/2 cup packed cilantro leaves
- 2 medium serrano chiles, halved and seeded
- 4 medium garlic cloves, smashed
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice (from 4 medium oranges)
- 1 (3 to 4 pound) boneless pork loin
Directions
Mix all ingredients except 1/2 cup orange juice and pork until thoroughly combined. Add pork loin and turn to coat thoroughly. Place in refrigerator and let marinate at least 1 hour and up to 24 hours.
Heat oven to 450 degrees F and arrange rack in middle. Remove pork from refrigerator and let rest at room temperature while oven heats up. When oven is heated, remove pork from marinade, strain marinade and discard solids and reserve juices. Season pork well with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Place pork in a roasting pan and roast until skin is golden-brown and internal temperature registers 145 to 150 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer, about 50 to 55 minutes.
Remove pork to a cutting board and let rest at least 10 minutes before slicing.
Meanwhile, combine reserved marinade juices and remaining 1/2 cup orange juice in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Skim sauce let cook until mixture is reduced by 2/3, about 10 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning, as necessary. When pork is ready, slice thinly and serve with orange sauce over top.

Man, my eye is bugging me like crazy. Hubby had to work, and I finally got the kids tucked in. I think I might just call it a night early myself.
The word "Whiteboard" was I *think* a weekly from the set that just expired. It fits with the theme of the other words and was worth 150 points. So, most likely it expired on the 7th.
Two new words tonight!
STILLEARTH for 100 points, expiring on 5/8.
AMERICANDAD for 100 points, expiring on 5/8.
BG -- What a beautiful baby! Am I crazy or seeing things thinking she resembles your little man a bit? What a sweetie.
Aphena -- So glad to hear your pediatrician is on your side! A letter from a pediatrician can make a BIG difference in the way people see your case.

now there's a face i'd like to see more of
so, i'm plenty stressed. not so much the homeschooling, but the wholeprocess. i can't find no info on what i have to teach next year, what i'm supposed to use. there are support forums out there but i get lost. alot of the info is based in the US, so donno if it applies up here.
i emailed dept of ed for ns. one thing i'm pissed about is that i go to see what the french curriculm for grade 7 is,
AND THE FOOKING THING IS ALL WRITTTEN IN FRENCH!!!!
now mind you I TOTALLY AGREE that french should be taught up to at least grade 9 since we are a bi-lingual country. BUT AT LEAST PUT THE SHYAT in english for those parents that years ago were allowed to drop it in grade 7!!!
SO IF ANYONE IS OUT THERE HOMESCHOOLING, YOU NEED TO PM ME!!
i so need help.
It says that I have to teach the essential graduation learnings. so i don't know if they mean the concepts or follow the laid out curriculum (which doens't make sense because homeschooling is supposed to be about developing your own set of curriculum, so i think it really means as long as they fulfil these abstract ideas..)
where the hell was i?
i lost my tangent..
anyway. for phys ed. the curriculum says they have to take sports, DANCE, and one hiking and one swim. so donno if that applies to homeschooling cause thats not in "essential graduation learnings" that's in the course curriculum. bah
there is no good info that's easy to find NO PLACE NO WHERE
*bangs head on desk*
I so want to do this. but i don't want to screw him up later on. if i can fake french it's fine, cause he can drop it in grade 10. so i just have to bullsshyt myway thru it, (and yes i will, the schoolboard screwed me over enuf in th epast)
*sigh*
anyone got a bullet? just one?
