Wow, the rain is just pissin' down I tell ya! We're having a big supper with our
neighbors this afternoon and it was SUPPOSE to be outside but we're having it in
his metal dome garage instead, but, lots of room in there! We're having deep fried
chicken wings, deep fried clams, curly french fries that are specially made, deep fried onion rings and deep fried fresh haddock! Lots of tartar sauce and ketchup! I can't
wait to munch out! We did this last weekend and it was fun! We had BBQ chicken, BBQ spare ribs, honey garlic homemade meatballs, macaroni salad, potato salad, coleslaw and a garden salad! It was YUMMY!!!!!!!! Maybe we'll turn this into a weekend event every weekend!

Still haven't heard if the casino trip is cancelled or not. I tried calling the lady but no
answer Will keep trying. I know of 4 people that backed out though because they
want to stay home in the nasty weather.

UPDATE

I still have power but it has flickered a few times. I have a feeling it is going soon. This storm has been unusual in the fact that it has been the worst on the western side of it. That has meant not as much rain here as usual, but still the winds are pretty strong....

I saw the news last night and i was thinking of you. Hopefully it's milder than they expect. Make sure you check in often since we worry about our american friends

OK-checking in again Sorry it's so late, but since I was up all night I had to get some sleep!!!

We did lose power at about 7am, but only for a couple hours. The way it looks outside right now, you would never know that bad weather passed through......until you look at the ground. I have lots of big trees in my yard, so with that comes lots of debris after a bad storm. Anyway, it's bright and sunny and beautiful outside now...

Ike's going the other way toward the Gulf. I haven't looked at an update on him since early this morning. I sure hope New Orleans doesn't get hit again.
Behind him was Josephine, but she already petered out. There was another one forming...I'll have to check on that also...
