Had an interesting morning. After another sleepless night (poor dog still has an upset tummy, which hasn't slowed her appetite, although she's only getting rice & broth, or her enthusiasm for playing), I went over to my friend's to help her get the cat in the carrier to go to the vet's. She (the cat) is my cat's mom.
Kitty (mom cat) used to be my friend when she was still living the hard life outside, until I helped trap her. That's when we found out she was pregnant (with my cat's younger half-siblings). I used to babysit the kittens when they were really little while my friend worked, so got to be friends with mom cat. That was before 2 subsequent vet visits, where she was not, repeat not, going into the carrier. Now, if I go visit, she up & hides. Took a half hour & lots of huffing & puffing (from all 3 of us), but she's now waiting in her cage. Gonna go up in a little while & help my friend take Kitty & her 2 kittens (my friend kept 2 of the 4 she had, & they're not kittens anymore, but at least they like me). Wish us luck.
It's funny, the kittens listen to me better than to their human, mostly because they know I mean what I say, while my friend lets them get away with murder.
Will write more later. Hope everyone is feeling better than my poor dog.

aww, the poor bugger. he get into something or what andit? when mine was sick, i had to feed her rice and hamburger. but she wasn't sick more than a day or so. very lucky.
i had to install 4 updates. now my system works even worse, course i am trying to download 6 songs at a time here (thanks alot boo)
and to be honest, i'm as sick as your dog andit..ds is feeling a bit better, oh got to tell you guys about THAT. so monday he had sparring, tues went to school. tues night, starts complaining about leg pains, headache, burning up, chills, sore throat. so we thought leg pains, from tkd. so im talking to pharmacy to see what coctail i can put together for this guy, and she says that it sounds like it could be an infection that happened with the cold, causing the leg pain. and suggest i take him to iwk (childrens emerg). i mean, he wouldn't walk on it at all yesterday. practically crawled to bathroom. today not moving around much at all.
and you know my kid? HE'S ADHD. should be bouncing off the walls. so i check with her and gave him rexall brand cold/sinus. (adult str), cause his weight can handle it. i gave him 2 pills, she said i should stick to 1, but anyway, (won't hurt she said, but just recommended smaller dose). anyway, he's feeling better and says legs are not hurting as much.
so maybe i wont' have to take him down to emerg. so we'll see how he feels after supper. she was very concerned and i have to call her when i find out what's what. got to luv the smaller mom/pop pharmacys.

That is way too funny. My niece when she first started talking was hilarious too!
Last year at Christmas, we all get together at FIL's place for brunch and presents. Well, we were talking about Pops (FIL) and Alice (niece) pipes up and says "Pops has issues!" All of us cracked up in laughter, but all FIL could say was "What did she say?" (he desparately needs a hearing aid, but refuses to go get one). Which made all of us laugh even harder. Just goes to show that kids are more attentive than you think. We will have to watch what we are saying around Tyler so he doesn't say things like that.
NS - I've been sicker than a dog now for the last week and a half. Tyler gave it to meToday, it feels like my head is going to explode, but that is feeling better for me
Welcome wpggirl!!
Haunish - you have WAY more self-control than I ever would have. DH would be out of a job right now if I was at a concert and his boss was there. I would not have been able to control myself. It's good, though, that your DS did a good job. How did he take the news when you had to tell him?
Thanks everyone for the words ... I need to spread some rep before I can give to anyone here again.
I fell in my driveway at lunch time with Tyler in his car seat in my arms. Don't worry, he's fine, but man is mom ever sore now ... can't sit here at the computer for too long cause I will stiffen up. Need to go have some hukka, have a nap, and I'll be back laterSwagBucks.com - the premiere digital dollar. Earn SwagBucks to redeem for great prizes. Amazon.ca are available here!

Amy -- I'm sorry you got a negative, but like I always said to DH, that means lots more trying... which he was always ready for LOL
BabyGonner -- I fell like that last Christmas with a tiny 3 month old Monet in her carseat, and the backs of my legs were solid black bruises for 3 weeks. Make sure if you have any worse pain in the next couple of days you go to the doctor... sometimes you don't notice sprains or fractures till a few days after they happen!
NS -- I am SO SORRY you are having such a rough time! I wish there was something I could do to help, but I'm pretty far away
As far as the saving vs. spending Points & Prizes points, I have one account in my name and one in DH's name, so I spend the points in his account whenever I see something smaller that I like, and save the ones in my account for bigger things. At least, that is my strategy nowI only had my own account till I found out that you could have a few per household, so that is my plan, anyway. The next thing I am going to get with the "smaller" account is that purple and blue bunny for Monet. She loves stuffed animals
I'm off to do more cleaning and prepping for the weekend. We went to the grocery today, because it is supposed to snow 20cm here tomorrow. Winter was very upset that we didn't have any carrots to leave out for Santa's Reindeer, so we just HAD to go! hehehee
Hugs all!
