Years ago I had to have a skin graft (not from my own body, though). Had a wound that just would not heal (was diabetic at the time). Half a dozen applications later, the darn thing finally took & the wound healed. It didn't help that it was the side of my foot that I would rub & bang on an hourly basis.

This will give you a laugh (well, it was scary for my friend at the time, now he thinks it's a fun party story). My friend got a rabbit a few years back - his first bunny. For the first 2 months he had her, she was terrified to go onto the slippery floors in the kitchen & avoided it completely. One warm fall day, he opened the door to his porch to water the plants out there & tripped over the bunny. He fell face forward through the screen door, crashed into the edge of the top step, & broke his jaw in 3 places (he's fine now, not to worry). In the emergency room, the dr asked how the accident happened, & he said he tripped over his bunny. For the next half hour, there was a parade of drs, nurses, various medical personnel who stopped outside his room & giggled, then moved on. Apparently, his was the first vicious rabbit they had encountered.

I'm okay. but lets see how they fare when i don't clean their mess, their laundry, or make their meals. and see how the dh handles the ds. it's going to be interesting. since i can't volunteer for wifeswap, i'm just going on strike. just sick and tired of being crapped on and taken for granted ya know?

LOL my auntie does the strike thing! and the men dont last long when they have to cook/clean/handle kids/work etc
do you have everything you need in one room? i would have everything in there possible so that you dont have to leave except for bathroom and food breaks

thanks kekes for the support. ya i think i need a break from these two, and since i can't afford that nice island with the fancy drinks, and gale forgot to show up for valentines day, this'll do for now.

you should hang up some scenic posters... turn the room into a vacation spot. Even throw a Gale pic up there too

What a day! I had an extremely bad fall this morning slammed into the back door just missed putting my head thru the backdoor window fell on a hard plastic container smashed it to smithereens. Thankfully I was wearing really thick socks or would of probably ended up cutting off my one leg and would of cut the other open I'm sure. The left leg above the ankle I tore open a perfect rectangle about 1 1/2 inches long by 1/2 inch wide and deep. DH came home and insisted it wasn't that bad so he took me to my regular doctor who sent me right over to the ER. Thankfully he called ahead and they were waiting for me got me right in gave me a big shot of dilaudid and phenergan right away let me be for about an hour and a half then came in and numbed up all around it. OMG I SCREAMED bloody murder. My legs are super sensitive to even touch to put lotion on them on a good day but today was not a good day. He tried to put staples in but didn't have enough skin to work with so then tried to do stitches but my skin is so thin that the stitches kept ripping out. Ended up giving up sent for a surgeon who is going to do a skin graft on me, take some from my hip and transplant it onto the wound but the wound needs to heal some first. I go back and see him on the 18th. On the right leg I have a huge goose egg right around the ankle that looks just like the one I had on the shin last summer that eventually busted open so am praying it doesn't do that it took forever to heal the one on my shin up but then the blood flow in that area isn't as good. The shot of dilaudid I got is finally wearing off and discovering there isn't an inch on my body that doesn't hurt especially my neck, back and hips. He gave me dilaudid to take at home so took some hoping it'll knock me out again. lol I've got my pillows and blankets all around me ready for it to. grrr nuts am just thankful this didn't happen while the kids were here the last time I fell and hurt myself so bad they were here and upset them terribly although would of been nice to have someone home to help me up, would of just laid there if i'd had my phone within reach lol but had to crawl off to find it. What a day but am so thankful my head is intact as well as my backdoor window and that I did have the thick socks on to protect my legs a little anyway. Sorry haven't been able to catch up with the posts today every time I came on to tell you all what happened i'd fall asleep reading them so didn't even try this time. Hope everyone else is doing ok. I'm going on strike with NS ok well I have to but lol in spirit I am on strike with her! Hugggggs everyone have a good night, will be around for a bit until my pain pills work but going to go make my rounds in PS also.

Good Morning everyone!!

So I got home last night to a great looking window. I so love the new windows. They look so nice and clean and I Just Love Them. I am so happy I got them. I have to give the guy a call and find out when he is going to pick up the cheque for them. Did I tell you all I LOVE MY NEW WINDOWS!!

Did you ever tell you what happened when I was slpitting with the ex? We went to a councelling session and well it didn't go well. I finally said - "Fine be that way, but I am no longer your fooking maid." It took 3 weeks (yes he is slow) to figure out I wasn't doing his wash. I would do mine and the kids and leave his in the basket. It was funny the day he said "You didn't do my laundry?" I looked at him and said "What part of I am not your Fooking maid didn't you understand" LOL I felt soooooo good saying that to him.

This is not stardreamers year! (i already pm'd her guys so don't think i'm ignoring).

As for my strike, so far the establishment is fairing well without me... dh rang the phone off the wall last night, i don't know wot for. sure wasn't to appologize! this am, he rang phone off i'm assuming to get me up to get up ds...ring ring ring..ring ring ring..ring ring ring..oh ya i din't answer it. i don't care if he makes it to school or not. not my problem. at first i felt bad. well, how can DH get him up? he works? then i thought how do all those single mothers out there do it? or even the 2 income parents? he'll manage,

and unforutnately they did. the ds eventually got up. i fell back asleep and i donno if i was dreaming or what.. anyway, woke up again, phone rings again. a simple ok, and then a door slam. before that i could hear him tearing his room apart...

so i drag my butt downstairs, i mean i feel hungover without the previous benefits, my stomache is churning and i got shooting pains in my head. but i get downstairs, book bag is gone, pills were on the table, so he musta took em. and he wasn't late..

so unless he forgot recess. my plan backfired this am.
