now my mom, will go on and on and on about everything she ate, did for the past week, longer if she remembers. she likes to hold u captive on the phone. so when she runs out of things to say, she pauses and says...

Now if I gave my mom you mom's phone number, wonder if they'd call each other! ROFL

I just hold the phone a few inches away from my ear (just so I know she's still on line) and I make funny faces at dh! lol

I got both my wiener dogs because when they got older they became biters of children. And both were raised around them, so not sure if this is only because they are purebred or not.
My Sonny is a chi / pom mix, he is the sweetest and loves everyone.

I would definitely do some research on the wiener mix though especially if it seems to be more doxie than chi.

Crap I missed a contest to name something for Aph!! Had a great time reading though them all.

I have managed to catch another cold! I spent most of the weekend sleeping. I did go to the home show in Ottawa on Sunday. That was a waste. I went looking for fences, since mine is falling down and I have to have one with the pool. Only on fence place there. Like WTF doesn't anyone do fences anymore?? Looks like I have to look on line. GRRRR.

The couple with the dog had a litter of pups and this one is the last one, was born Jan 25 and has been dewormed and had its first shots. We'll see gonna check the puppy out first, dh is interested to see what he looks like seen a pic but never enough with just a pic.

Just remember - straight to the vet if you do get the pup, you do not want fleas in your house (not saying the pup will have fleas, but better to not take that chance - advice from a friend who does dog rescue).

Nice of people to share their birthday parties with me! lol Guess they are a mixed bag!!!

The best b-day I had was when I got up at 5am, had b-day breakfast with my parents (I was still living with them then), they took me & my best friend to the airport, then we celebrated my b-day on the beach in Cancun. Considering my b-day is in Jan, you have no idea how lovely it was to be able to wear less than 15 layers of clothes when going outside.

wow i won something, i thought we were just having fun. it was fun too. i learned a lot about some of our usually quieter members. andit i love the costume for your little one.. good morning everyone

Off to the dreaded doctor today to get Tyler is 1 year shots. Ugha.

My mom hates the phone - our conversations are usually less than 5 minutes long, unless we're discussing what shows are on tv that night, then they go 10 minutes. I do have to check in though about 5 times a day (breakfast, lunch, afternoon, dinner, bedtime). It gets annoying, but considering they have just cause (they found me passed out in a coma when I was really sick on dialysis), it's a small price to pay to keep em happy.

Maybe you need a speaker phone, so you can do lots of multitasking while talking to her? Or hand the phone to one of the dogs? Then again, the panting might give her the wrong idea about what you do all day.

Do you have standard or mini weiners? Maybe I should rephrase that before Aph gets the wrong idea.

I've only known a couple of standards & they were both, um, determined to take over the household. Their original job was to go out to the fields & hunt badgers while the lazy humans slept in & lounged around the house (just like my Lily dog has to do the housework, while I play on the computer). They seem to have the typical terrier personality - sweet, but give them an inch, they take a mile. Kinda like cats.

We slept in this morning & apparently missed the flurries. Yay! It's grey out, but at least there's no snow on the ground.

Andit , thanks , most definately do not want fleas in the house..lol. we had a Siberian Husky, he had fleas, we ended up not being able to do much with him, we lived on an acreage and he had a tendency to tear our farm kitties to pieces we gave him to a friend who trained dogs and they ended up keeping him, it was getting a bit traumatic for dd to open door and see that, me as well and the cleaning up ,but he would kill them and then bring them to the door and then lay them there so was first thing seen in the morning.

It certainly helps me keep my mind off of things when I am on here. Problem is--I did that too often. My life is such a mess...but one of these days......
