Yeah, that is my neighbours problem so she uses a care place that comes in during the day when he needs less help (she helps him in and out of the tub for bathing etc in the morning, she just needs someone to sit with him so she can do stuff in the day)

The girl comes 28hrs a week, they have it worked out that she comes for 6 two days and not on sunday so that my neighbour can go get stuff done for more than 4 hours and the caregiver does not miss church

It's going alirght! I had the flu for the last week or so. That was really crappy, but having a broken nose and stuffed sinuses was HORRIBLE.

But I am back to normal now

So, what's going to happen with the nose? Is it healing, or do you need to get something worked on with it?

Patty what about a personal support worker...my MIL is one and she goes to people homes sometimes up to 8 hours a day..baths, cleans medicates feeds etc

yeah thats the word I was looking for, only his was an actual nurse until she had kids and they kept messing with her shifts, she prefers the hours of this so she can pick them up from school

SO my dad is back from meeting with the surgeon and he will begin thepre-op procedures to have a shunt inserted into his aneursym. The operation is nto and emergency and it will be done after xmas. So what happens when he is in the hospital and I have to stay with my mom. How do I do the groceries, take the kids to school, have any life at all? Why did I say I would never put her in a home if he dies. I think i just gave myself a life sentence.

I called around to every ENT in the area and the wait list was at least 3 months for an appointment. So I'm just going to have to wait till January 17th for my appointment to see him

The swelling has all gone down inside my nose now which is good but that's when the pain started, so now it just constantly hurts so the doctor gave me some T3s but they don't work but I'll just have to live with it.

I am going to have to have surgery on it though.

Yes some PSW are actual nurses..my MIL is but the position she got was of a PSW just more qualified. I know here in Ontario the gov pays for them..they work out of an agency that pays them but the agency gets paid from the gov. Not sure about Qb
