    Well, after busy week it was nice to relax and do something I love...baking and decorating cakes. Here's the latest one:



    Thanks to Badkins' earlier posts, I got my fondant at BulkBarn (thanks for that tip Badkins!) also got the butterfly shape cutter from there. And picked up a few supplies at Michael's using coupons! yay! While these take time to do, it's sooooo worth it when you see the final product. The party for this little girl is tomorrow...hopefully they equally love the cake.

    I'd also like to add a shameless plug for my Kitchen Aid stand mixer...baking is sooooo much easier with it!

    I had cake left over so I'll finish the mini black forest cakes tomorrow morning- these will be added to the refreshments table at church tomorrow.

    CUTE!!!!!! I love the marble look you did with your fondant. So how did you like the taste of the fondant compared to other premade brands? I find the "virgin ice" is really easy to work with It is funny how some things can be relaxing for some but very stressful for others. I too find cake decorating to be relaxing. Good job!
