Seems like a lot to spend, when you see $100+, but we are fortunate for the moment that $11 a week is not something we miss. This project is giving me a lot of satisfaction so far. My kids are quite enthusiastic and of course so is DH and my dad comes down and inspects the pile almost everyday to see what I picked up.

I love this thread.
You are such an inspiration to all. Just imagine the shape the country's food banks and shelters would be in if more people did this!
Thanks for sharing such a wonderful idea.Trade List /Wishlist: http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/382792-dreamcatcher1962s-trade-wish-lists-canada/#post5928904

You rock Patty! I just took a donation of stuff that I had saved up and some stuff Lshortt had saved up to a domestic violence shelter in our area. They were so excited to get it. I donated about 20 things of deodorant, 3 big bottles of jergens lotion, about 10 things of toothpaste and some toothbrushes, 25 packs of stayfree pads, 20 softlips, a few things of satin care, and about 5 things of bodywash. Lshortt donated 4 packs of diapers, formula, baby food, a diaper bag/backpack and a few other things to. Its the satisfaction of knowing that you can help someone else who isn't as fortunate as you are. Even if we get this stuff for free or dirt cheap. Its not about the value of it..its the value of being able to give it to someone who desperately needs it! Makes you feel so good inside!
Keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing your pics EVERY week!

I am dumbfounded, awestruck, speechless! This is absolutely amazing. I have never seen any donations done like this before. You are an incredible person (or should I say family and include dh666 in there
?).
