The $20 challenge!!!

Before I headed out to do my regular Saturday morning run around, I came to the conclusion that I'm running out of stash room. So, I decided that unless we could actually EAT a product, I wasn't buying ANYTHING other than food unless it was FREE or darn near free.

And furthermore, I was taking ONE $20 bill, and when that was gone, my shopping trip was over!!!

Here's how I did:


Canadian Tire: Saturday's Door-Crasher was a set of 3 scissors, reg. $19.99, on sale for $3.98. I applied $1.85 in CT money.

TOTAL WITH TAX: $2.65


RCSS: love those pink stickers!

3x Country Harvest Bread, reg. $2.73, on sale 3/$6.99, - 50% off = $3.58 (savings of $4.71)
2x Kotex Lighdays, $3 - 50% off - b2 save $2 = $1 (savings of $5)
3x Glade Jar Candles, clearance priced @ $1.94 - 3 x $2 coupons = FREE!! -18 (savings of $6.18)
2x PC BBQ sauce $2.49 - 50% off = $2.49 (savings of $2.49)

TOTAL WITH TAX: $7.70



SHOPPERS DRUG MART: of course, we were all looking forward to using our Gillette coupons on the shampoo

6x Gillette Shampoo, sale priced @ $1.49 - 2x $5WUB3 = FREE! (-$1.06)
2x Cream on sale @ $1.49 = $2.98
4x Jergens lotion, on clearance @ $1.99 (this is regularly over $9) - 4x $1.50 coupons = $1.94

TOTAL WITH TAX: $6.08


FOODLAND: nothing too exciting, but a girl was just putting out 'new' clearance items in produce:

Potatoes : $.79
Celery : $.99
Bagged Cole Slaw : $.99

TOTAL: $2.77

GRAND TOTAL: $19.20 (looks like I lost a dime some place!)

So, St. Thomas ppl, print off your Jergens coupons before you head to the Elmwood location of Shoppers. There was a huge cart of them near the photo area.
