Comp sci degree, long ago a programmer, later a project manager (reports, research, dealing with the collision of Marketing and IT). Worked a lot in the food & agriculture sector and have worked for I think every level of government (municipal, provincial, federal, provincial party, party caucus, stats can, crown corporations...) as well as NGO's (food & ag, rural/international development). Most of my career I was self-employed, working as a consultant and I really enjoyed what I did. No fear of paperwork!

Now, bum? On disability for 2 of the last 4 years. Sitting on an organ donation list, waiting for a new brain. Mine could give out any second.

DH has been a bum for longer than I - he used to be a roughneck, doing physical demanding jobs (foundry, working at heights, anything dangerous) until he broke enough parts that he couldn't continue. He's part bionic now, LOL.

Hobbies are reading reading reading, food & agriculture LOL (cooking, exotic cuisines, growing things indoors and out, etc.), sewing. I like to help people with government forms, so I do a lot of paperwork for low-income folks and have worked as a volunteer at the community association doing this as well. Also have volunteered for a literacy org, working as a tutor, tutored adult students, and helped out at the pound (dog walker). My fave dogs are Bostons and Frenchies!

I liked how diverse your career paths have stretched.
Some of us are from " womb to tomb" same first job till retirement or death, or both ( ie: dead tired but still working)

Sad about your health situation, I guess none of us signs up for old age or bad health, but isn't it great to find a place to escape to ( here!) where so many others can listen, share, help. You enjoy what is left of our freezing cold Sunday

I work at a waste disposal facility. Worst job in the world!

My "hobby" is animal rescue. I currently have 19 animals living with me and they make my days bearable because I get to go home to their unconditional love after a day at my crappy job!

I also love to camp/hike in nice weather and I'm an avid NASCAR fan!

I am a housewife, which i LOVE. I like to sew (i'm currently working on a sampler quilt) I crochet afghans. (love giving them as baby gifts) I scrapbook (have actually run out of photo's lol) And i love baking. (mostly cake's b/c i like the decorating part) I have been told that i am a 1950's mom, but i say I'm practicing for when I'm a Gramma. P.S. I'm 27.
