How much did you save by using coupons last year??

my savings i posted are just coupons, not sales, pm's pink stickers, clearance... 99% of my savings are at LD and if you really must know, most of the items are donated one way or another, but honestly not anyones business

honestly i hate it when people assume that people are being dishonest about coupon savings... yeah, some people probably are being dishonest, but its not a game to win... who cares if so and so saved this much, and why come on here and post your negative crap? this is supposed to be a positive forum

It is not that I think people are dishonest, people save what they save

But people should also not feel that their savings are inferior when many people do track it from regular price and I didnt want them to feel negative (you often see people in brags who say saved $x and its from the regular price)

Honestly, I don't care how people track it, but when others feel bad because they can't get anywhere near the savings, it also creates some negativity. And some people did buy at full price so are fully correct in tracking from full price - its not at all about dishonesty

I don't class savings that way because I would never pay full price anyway lol. If it's regular 3$, on sale for 2$ and I have a coupon I only count that as 1$ because I would never pay $3!

I also hoard my coupons until something is on sale and then I go crazy lol.

Like Carly said, those SDM points really drive up the savings. I did 3 mega bonus redemptions and 4 or 5 bonus redemptions before that. So that's almost a couple of thousand right there. Thank god for SDM.

I track the total value of the coupons redeemed and the amount OOP. I never track the savings as a percentage of the non-sale price because I would not be paying that anyway...

So far in 2011, I think I've only redeemed $8.50 or so in coupons. Haven't really shopped much. I've kept my bills, but is there any site where you can track how much you've saved other than a ticker?

I don't really keep track. I just know that I have been careful not to add much to my stockpile.
