i get that the dollar store prices will probably have to go up (the changing of the dollar, and even the upping of minimum wage in many provinces) but items jumping $4?! that's a tad excessive for dollar store items (considering most the store is under $10)

They would jump to $4 (not by $4)

I imagine they would have $3 items jump to $3.50/$4
$2 items to $2.50 or $3 etc

It is Dollarama only too, their top priced item is $3 so it may allow them to buy some better items that they do not currently sell, but fit within current depts

i think i read a different report it say the prices are going to be going up by up to $4 (as in price hike on some items might be as high as $4) it was a top story on facebook the other day... i do get the need to hike up the prices since many things have changed over the last couple of years (dollar dropping, many provinces have upped minimum wage or planning to up it soon) the profit they make per item is fairly small

I found mitre and franklin soccer shinguards for $3. Different sizes were available. Also a mitre mesh sport bag (to put balls or toys in) for $3. Great deals!

they also had good volleyball knee pads (I forget the brand) for $3.
