To be honest, I never expect something with the card... it's just a nice bonus if you DO get something.

I know it's been said that this has been posted in the trains subforum but I seriously can't see it anywhere and I'm not the only one...

I understand the concern around people not fulfilling their obligations regarding gift trains. I do not think they should be restricted to holidays only. Many people have various cultural beliefs that DO NOT celebrate particular holidays ... Easter is a prime example.
Just my thoughts.

In order to be considerate, official exchanges that SC hosts always have a "/" name ie: Christmas/Winter Exchanges and Easter/Spring. Halloween is the exception I can think of, it could be "/Samhain" if anyone requested it, and Mother's Day and Father's Day have no religious affiliations.

Were not even going to get into religious cultural beliefs, you dont wanna join an exchange don't PERIOD. We don't only do exchange for religious holidays lol, were just asking to space them out, ask a mod etc. Nothing huge.

Think this is just an example of exclusion. What if I request my holiday Pink is my favorite colour day! I could just make a day up. What constitutes a "holiday'? What is to prevent a rider from not sending -- just because it is mother's day?
Reasoning does not make sense. I will remove my train ............ and I will not continue with any trains as a rider or conductor. Extremely disappointed ... I had a planned a One Year Member train ... but ... I am little short and looks like I wont make it.

I am quite dissapointed about this. I am a newer member and have participated in 2 gift pkg trains, as well as a VWT, old fashion train and several trades. I have had nothing but positive experiences so far. I think that the person who is running the trin has to be careful when accepting riders (as in riders with positive feedback only). A rider who has a pkg that goes MIA and does not resolve it should not be allowed to participate in other exchanges as well. I think that it is not fair because others have soured the experience.
Just my 2 cents.Adopting one dog may not change the world, but the world will surely change for that one dog.

Fact of the matter is theres too many going on at once and they need to be spaced out. If theres none going on at you want a pink exchange I could give 2 craps. So please just respect the rules. Were looking out for members. That shouldnt be hard to understand. It has nothing to do with RELIGION, at all.Last edited by Sally888; Mon, Apr 18th, 2011 at 09:10 PM.

I really don't see why cancelling trains is unfair to us / "cheating" us. It's fair to those who haven't gotten packages from trains / those who have been conductors of package trains with passengers that have gone MIA. And, I'm sure MODS have been getting tons of PMs etc to do with missing packages etc, and I can only imagine how frustrating that must be for them.
I have had more issues with people who have all positive 30 + feedback than with people who have 0 Fb etc. So, going by peoples FB really does nothing IMO, since I find those with higher ratings have shown (consistently) within the last few months to not fulfill their end of exchanges.Last edited by xox2010; Mon, Apr 18th, 2011 at 09:15 PM.

But were not stopping them, we are spacing them out as they have gotten way outta hand. If we were stopping them then yah, be mad but were not.
Funny thing is that its some really long time members that have started not sending out their ends. So careful or not doesn't matter.
