I have 2 running right now...I understand that SC wants to protect it's members but I don't have the same members on each train...looked at other trains and same most have different members as it depends on the theme of the trains....
what I really don't understand is the difference between auctions/ g.c trades/fpc high value or stamp trades?? the neg thread is full of these types of trades gone wrong...there is very few posts on package trains gone wrong....so why is the limit only on pkge trains ? Members would be more protected if there was more rules regarding these other types of trades...there is no permission needed if I wanted to do a $50 G.C auction....
I think conductors need to do their home work before starting a pkge train...I keep a list of great riders...riders who send late and those who didn't send a gift(2 out of more than 20 trains)
perhaps we could have a wiki thread where we can add such info so others can check to see if that person is on the lisr in a certain category and if they are that could factor into whether they get a seat or not.......
I am just having a hard time with this new rule since no other types of very high value trains /trades or auctions are having any type of rules or restrictions placed upon them...

Trades and Exchanges are 2 different things and will be kept seperate. Although we have tried to make provisions for trades to protect members such as no monetary trades ie paypal, make sure you have a seperate sdm account etc. Of course we cant fully protect everything. Sc isnt all about rules either thats why were just basically saying lets space them out. Not have 10 at once.
If someone had tons of $50 gc trades up im sure we'd be notified as well.
Its not just one rider on these exchanges that made this decision, theres lots of riders/exchangers that never sent their part
