I wore Frye Boots. I also wore painter paints...they were chic for a time. When I was in high school 1972-1977 we used to wear rompers in gym. I'll bet there are a handful of you who might have been born in the later 1950's (like me) who had to endure wearing those.
But also in my high school days there were times when we forgot to go to class and listen to Dark Side of the Moon & dream of far off places.
We had it pretty good growing up back then. A simple but adundant life and so many great concerts many of them at Maple Leaf Gardens.
Who ever would have dreamed that they would become days that we would remember with such fondness?
What was one of the most memorable concerts you saw?
- David Bowie
- Pink Floyd
- The Who
- The Rolling Stones
- ZZ Top
- Supertramp
- Jethro Tull
- Doobie Brothers
Do tell kids!!!

Led Zeppelin at MLG September 4, 1971. It was my first big concert, don't remember much about it other than the excitement of actually being there.

The "Welcome to my Nightmare" tour was awesome!
One of my favourite concerts ever was Chicago & The Beach Boys at the CNE in 1989. I kind of expected it to be lame but I loved every minute of it!
The WORST ever was Queen. It was so bad I left 1/2 way through and I wasn't the only one on that escalator.

Some pretty good local bands at places like
- The Jarvis House
- The Horseshoe Tavern
- The Brunswick House
- Hotel Isabella
Such a wealth of great bands & artists & great venues to enjoy seeing them perform & some of them evolve into such greatness.

Pretty extraordinary stuff that has stood the test of time. To think that Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber were still in their twenites when they came up with this gem.
Just pray they don't do a remake starring Lady Gaga or someone as equally scary.
