    I was at Canadian Tire with my Fiance as I needed to pick up some car cleaning supplies now that it is getting warm outside and I need to clean the salt and such off our two vehicles.

    I noticed that ArmorAll Extreme Tire Shine was on sale for $5.97 from $9.99. I am like perfect, my Civic has nice street tires on it and I want them to shine.

    I also picked up a tire rack for the winter tires and a ShopVac that was long over due.

    The girl at the cash rang through the Tire Shine at $9.99 and I didn't even notice. My fiance mentioned that it was the wrong price and that we are eligible for SCOP. Of course the cashier denied that until my fiance once again pointed out the sign on the side of her register.

    20 minutes later and two managers I got the tire shine for free.

    Stands for "Scanning Code Of Practice". Basically, if a scannable item comes up as the wrong price (ex: shelf tag says $4.99, comes up as $9.99) you get that item for free or $10 off if over $10. Hope that helps!

    Yep... just want to add that NOT all store participate... WM, CT, RCSS, Safeway, Co-Op, SDM.. most of the ones you'd shop at... but just get informed (thru SC or Google)... awesome!

    Today I purchased a 1GB Video Card at Future Shop for 59.99, a great buy. (ZOTAC GeForce GT 220 1 GB Synergy Edition) At the checkout it came up 89.99. I was paying with a gift card so they adjusted it with an instore credit card. They proceded to take the 59.99 price tag off of the shelf. Thinking I got a good deal on the card (I would not have bought it at 89.99) I went home happy. My son reminded me about the SCOP. I called Future Shop and they are prepared to honor the policy and I can go in tomorrow and get my 10.00. Now that is a great deal on a 1 GB video card! (Effectivly 49.99)

    I had no idea about SCOP, it's happened so many times to me. I might be a bit hesitant to bring it up the first time but if it works out....it could be a really really good thing.
