Did this at 2 different SDMs.
Redeemed FPC Sense & Spray, 10.99, put coupon as 2002, and charged tax 1.52 at both locations. Of course I didn't buy them, took them to Zellers and paid 25 cents each with SPC.

They charge you tax and then you still don't get any points.

That sucks BIG TIME !!! SDM will be losing lot of business bcoz of this

I like places where the tax is taken off automatically by the system on a FPC ..instead of you standing there & arguing about it etc & then they taking it off manually as if they are doing you a big favour ..if the FPC says taxes included on it , they shouldn't be charging tax .

I too will go to METRO if that's the case

I've never been charged tax @ SDM on FPC so far ..but I haven't gone to them for a FPC redemption since the new cash registers were implemented so I don't know if I want to take a chance over there or not anymore

Go to METRO if you have one close by ..better to give business to a Canadian retailer than a US one

I redeemed 2 FPC's at Metro today ..these are products on which they have HST ..but I was not charged any tax at METRO today when I redeemed the 2 FPC's

I was initially planning to redeem them @ SDM but when I saw the nonsense SDM is pulling off with the 2002 code thesedays .. I didn't want to take a chance & decided to redeem them at METRO instead

From now onwards METRO is getting all my FPC's not SDM

I hope someone from SDM is reading this thread & fixes the tax on FPC thing soon or they will be losing lot of business soon ..well atleast from all the SC'er

my mom just got back from SDM she was charged taxes using a FPC. I phoned and asked if they changed their coupon policy on FPC's using code 2002, they said no that they would refund her money if she brings the receipt in.So I am kind of confused about this, my mother said she went through regular checkout, male cashier. I talked to a woman..so who knows...maybe different at different locations????

    +1

a bad business move considering most of their products are much more expensive than other stores. i think even to the extent that if they were to swallow the taxes, the money they'd receive would be greater than most stores
