Norovirus Hits Thornhill School

An outbreak of norovirus has hit an elementary school in Thornhill. A memo was sent to parents of students at Thornhill Woods Public Tuesday night. They are being advised to keep kids who are infected home for at least two days.

NHL Unveils Name For Expansion Team: Vegas Golden Knights

The NHL’s newest team is named the Vegas Golden Knights. Owner Bill Foley and NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman announced the Las Vegas expansion franchise’s official name and revealed its logo and colours Tuesday night at a gala ceremony for about 5,000 fans outside T-Mobile Arena, where the Golden Knights will begin play next season. The Golden Knights’ logo is a simple front view of a fighting helmet with a conspicuous “V” in the middle. Their colours are steel grey, gold, red and black.

Former Maple Leafs winger Viktor Stalberg scored the go-ahead goal, shorthanded as the Carolina Hurricanes edged Toronto 2-1 for their fifth straight victory.

My DS bought tickets, and is taking me tonight to see them as an early b/day present.
