Up to 70 mm of Rainfall Expected By Saturday Evening

If you’re getting ready to leave the house this morning, you will need to take an umbrella with you. We’re in for a good couple of days of straight rain and it’s prompted Environment Canada to issue a rainfall warning for most of southern Ontario. Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says the storm is expected to arrive this afternoon. We can expect 40-to-70 millimetres today through to Saturday. Pack your brolly.

Prince Philip Retires

Queen Elizabeth II's husband, Prince Philip, will stop carrying out public engagements this fall, Buckingham Palace announced Thursday. The palace said in a statement that Philip, who is 95, has the full support of the queen in his decision. He will continue heading numerous charitable organizations but will not play an active role attending engagements.

Another sizzling three-point shooting night from Cleveland, and the Raptors dropped a 125-103 decision to the reigning NBA champion Cavaliers.
