Sorry, but I need to vent!!!! I experienced the WORST customer service last night at a shop near me, I don't want to mention the name of the shop because I'm not in the habit of publicly rubbishing people or business's. (Even if they DO deserve it) Thursday afternoon I bought something from this shop. I paid cash for it. I took it home and found out it didn't work. So last night less than 24 hours later I took it back to the shop and asked if I could get a refund. The girl in the shop told me NO even though I still had the receipt. I asked if I could get a FREE replacement instead then. Again this person told me "NO." I asked to talk to a manager now as really not happy and I explained that I had just bought the item had got it home and it didn't work. The manager just smiled and told me to my face that I was "OUT OF LUCK." No refund. No FREE replacement. Grrrrrrrrr. I'll tell you what...I am NEVER buying another Lottery Scratchcard from there again ...

Special weather statement issued for GTA as kids head back to school

It might be warmer outside this morning but the wintery conditions continue as we have yet another special weather statement issued by Environment Canada, with snowfall expected right through the morning commute. In the city we’re looking at between 4-and-8 centimeters by the time the system passes through. Halton, Peel, York Region, and Durham could see a bit more not to mention a slippery commute for the first day back to school. The good news is the mercury is to shoot up over the next couple of days, getting up to 6-degrees by mid-week.

Golden Globes 2018

Seth Meyers hosted the 75th annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony live from the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday, and issues of politics permeated the ceremony. From the ongoing Hollywood sexual assault scandal to the treatment of women in the industry to accusations of racism, many celebrities vocalized their points of view.

I have never been interested in awards shows... perhaps mildly interested in the Grammys. Lately, these award shows are all about politics instead of the movies (or whatever they are awarding). That kind of stuff turns me off even more to the point where I avoid those types of shows like the plague.

These are actors. I don't care what their personal political views are. I don't want them pushing their views down their fans throats either. Just do your job and entertain us.
