Thousands remain without power in Ontario in wake of weekend ice storm

The weather has certainly calmed down significantly but Toronto Hydro crews are keeping busy as a couple hundred customers are still without power this morning. Crews have been restoring tens of thousands of outages since the peak of the ice storm over the weekend. The province's largest utility, Hydro One, was reporting around 40-thousand homes and businesses without electricity -- down from a high of about 300,000 in the early stages of the storm. The good news is we are looking at sunshine and much more seasonal temperatures by the weekend.

‘Night Court’ star Harry Anderson dead at 65

Comedian, magician and actor Harry Anderson of “Night Court” passed away at his home in Asheville, North Carolina. He was 65. According to Asheville’s WSPA News, police confirmed that Anderson was found dead when they responded to a call to the actor’s home before 8 a.m. Monday. Foul play is not suspected. Anderson is best known for starring as Judge Harry Stone in “Night Court”, which was part of NBC’s famed Thursday-night “Must See TV” lineup from 1984 until 1992.

Matthews, Marleau push Leafs past Bruins in Game 3

The city is quite the buzz as the Maple Leafs have managed to claw right back into their series with the Bruins. Out-scored 12-4 heading into game three last night, the buds got some much needed offence from Auston Matthew and Patrick Marleau, who pushed Toronto to a 4-2 win over Boston. The Leafs trail the Bruins two games to one heading into game four on Thursday. Freddy Andersen was also solid with 40 saves. The win means Nazem Kadri will get to play in at least one game as he has now served two games of his three game suspension.
