Hello fellow Canucks! It must be August already. I just heard my first back to school commercial on the radio this morning.

OMG 😯..then listen to this one ..went to couple stores on weekend ..dollarama was first store ..as i was walking up aisle .. i noticed Christmas decorations on shelves ..then i went next aisle and bless me if they didn’t have Halloween items out ..what’s happening here only August month just arrived.. Christmas things out all ready ..kids haven’t even went back school yet now Christmas 🎄 wow !! My opinion they wear out Christmas before it even comes .

Good morning my Q friends. Happy Monday last day of the long weekend.
What scorcher heat wise the past couple of days.

Happy Civic Day, Q sters,
The last day of the long weekend & this round of heat wave. Showers are suppose to happen this afternoon,(like every day last week...……. not!) & bring in cooler temps.
Headed up to Wilberforce, after work on Caturday to help my friend clean out his Uncle's house, after his untimely passing. Wilberforce is about 25 mins east of Haliburton & 20 west of Bancroft, 3 1/2 hr drive from Acton as long as no traffic jams. No problem there on Caturday. The house itself is a 3 bedroom bungalow, 2 floors of 1500 sq ft ea. Good size property, 1/2 acre of grass & flower beds & 3 acres of bush & stream. When walking into the house, it was like stepping back in time to the 1970's, wood paneling covered all the walls & carpeting on floors, except the bathrooms & kitchen. The kitchen was painted in turquoise with 70's style cupboards & butcher block counters. Bundles of newspaper where everywhere, on the couch, chairs, 1 whole section of the basement. He collected every paper since 1988, when he & his wife had moved up there & kept every box from everything he owned, small appliances, shoes, you name it, it was in the basement. Also empty margarine & glass containers. It seems he kept everything, didn't throw anything out. My friend's brother came up in his car & we loaded both of the with bundles of newspaper, recycling, junk & off to the dump we went, 8 car loads each. Cloths went to Goodwill or Sally Ann. We'll be back up there again next weekend to try & finish. There are still more newspaper bundles & broken down cardboards boxes, to get rid of. Managed to get the bathrooms scrubbed clean, as well as the kitchen & windows washed inside & out. House looks much better now. I would have loved to have been able to ask him why he kept everything, but will never know. Traffic coming back, last night, no problem. Was not looking forward to having come back today.
