Message to Trump from Jewish organization in Pittsburgh


The leaders of a progressive Jewish organization in Pittsburgh said President Donald Trump should not visit the city as it mourns the 11 people murdered in a mass shooting at a synagogue until he changes his tone.
“President Trump, you are not welcome in Pittsburgh until you fully denounce white nationalism,” the leaders of the local chapter of Bend the Arc wrote, adding:

“For the past three years, your words and your policies have emboldened a growing white nationalist movement. You yourself called the murderer evil, but yesterday’s violence is the direct culmination of your influence.”

The group said Trump’s rhetoric had not only led to attacks on Jewish people, but also “deliberately undermined the safety of people of color, Muslims, LGBTQ people and people with disabilities.”
The organization also demanded that Trump “stop targeting and endangering all minorities,” “cease your assault on immigrants and refugees” and “commit yourself to compassionate, democratic policies that recognize the dignity of all of us.”
During the mass shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue on Saturday, alleged gunman Robert Bowers, 46, reportedly screamed “all Jews must die” before he opened fire. Prosecutors have filed 29 charges against Bower, 22 of which could lead to the death penalty.

Okay, okay kiddies gather round it's story time.
This story is almost certainly mostly true except
for the details and main parts which I not entirely sure of.
Me and some of the guys were on a road trip through Tennessee
or Arkansas or one of those places like that.
We stopped at a road house for food and a few drinks and got
in with the good ole boys who took us back to the pickup for a swig or two of moonshine.
Well we had us a good time that night but the next morning was another story.
I was like snow blind for the next few days, I don't know if it was dilated pupils
or the optic nerve itself but everything and I mean everything was pure white.
Blue was white, red was white , the whole world was white.
Well I rounded everyone up, (this was before cell phone and texting so it took awhile).
Everyone was in the same boat , nobody could drive really until we found the
darkest sunglasses on the planet.

And that is why some moonshine really is white lightning.

The moral of the story: don't go on road trips with Rocky.

My grandfather always called it white lighting..i question my grandfather why he call it that ..he said it should be 200 proof and very very potion drink ..to provide me with some hard facts ..what he was saying was true ..he pour white lighting on his thumb and took lighter and light it and if you seen blue flame and it last while on his thumb ..will my sonny by’s that was wonderful batch of white lighting ..if you only seen blue flame for second that wasnt good batch ..my grandfather said if your doing it ..make good batch ..so you only give them little juice glass full and they be loaded drunk 😵 will thats good kind of white lighting ..thats one my grandfather always done

Vigil for Pittsburgh Victims in Toronto

Hundreds gathered at Mel Lastman Square for a vigil remembering those killed in the latest deadly mass shooting stateside. Members of the Jewish community held candles as they sang traditional songs and later stood for a moment of silence. Among those gathered were 20 family members of Joyce Fienberg, a 75-year-old who died in the shooting and had previously lived in Toronto.

Ontarians fed up with cannabis delivery delays complaining to ombudsman

Do you have your weed yet? If not -- your frustration is at least being addressed. The Ontario Ombudsman's office continues to review complaints over delays in the delivery of cannabis in the province, almost two weeks since the drug was legalized across the country. In an email, spokeswoman Linda Williamson says there is no formal investigation but staff are reviewing all complaints against the Ontario Cannabis Store and resolving them informally wherever possible. Still no word on exactly how many complaints have been filed.
