Totally agree with you HG. Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day. Hopefully in the next 2 days all the ice will melt away. The bottom 1/3 of the driveway is still covered in ice, from the freezing rain that happened when I was away.

Sunwing is first Canadian airline to ground its Boeing 737 Max 8 fleet

In the wake of the Ethiopian Airlines crash, Sunwing Airlines is temporarily grounding its four Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The Canadian low-cost airline issued a statement last night that it made the decision for what it called “evolving commercial reasons” unrelated to safety, including airspace restrictions being imposed in other countries. Both Air Canada and WestJet are keeping their MAX 8s in the air for now. Federal Transport Minister Marc Garneau will provide an update on Canada’s Boeing 737 MAX 8 planes this morning in Ottawa -- that presser will get under way at 11am.

Math curriculum in Ontario to go back to basics

When it comes to math in Ontario, it’s back to the basics. Education Minister Lisa Thompson is expected to unveil a curriculum overhaul in the coming days. The Toronto Sun reports that instead of Discovery Math, schools in Ontario will soon return to tried and true methods. That means students memorizing the times tables once again. The most recent test scores for grade 6 students showed that less than half met the provincial standard, a major drop from years past.

Leafs look to bounce back against Blackhawks tonight

Fresh off their embarrassing loss to the Lightning Monday, the Maple Leafs will try and bounce back tonight as they host Chicago at Scotiabank Arena. The Leafs sit four points back of second place Boston -- the Bruins were dropped by the Jackets 7-4 in Columbus last night.

Happy Weedless Wednesday everyone. I quit a year and a half ago when i had a stroke after about 47 years, i love my new found taste for foods and the fresh scent of the air outside. It's great.
