Bike Week in Daytona is a challenge not for the faint of heart. Not everyone possesses the courage and guts it takes to survive Bike Week. So, hopefully you’re fortunate enough to still have your bearings on Sunday, March 17, 2019.

After going to hell and back for 10 straight days of craziness, you will probably need a drink — yes another one — and a place to celebrate life, as you prepare to close out a fantastic 2019 Bike Week. The World Famous Sopotnick’s Cabbage Patch, one of the oldest biker bars in Daytona, will help you end with a bang before you hit the road back home.

Happy Weedless Wednesday everyone. I quit a year and a half ago when i had a stroke after about 47 years, i love my new found taste for foods and the fresh scent of the air outside. It's great.

But congratulations on quitting smoking. It has been 5 years and 2 months today for me. I still like the smell, but fortunately I don't crave it.

That was some loss the Leafs had. Why is it, after the All Star Game, the Leafs have issues playing up to the same caliber as before the All Star break. I think it has a lot to do with Nylander. Since he rejoined the team, after signing that mega deal, he hasn't played well at all. Leafs should dump him off & get some real talent. Mathews seems to still be favouring his shoulder, not playing up to his usual par. Maybe they brought him back too early. Hopefully, they'll turn it around against the Flyers tomorrow.

Potential flooding as mild temperatures, wet weather arrive in GTA

We’ll get an early taste of spring today as the mercury is set to top 10 degrees by the afternoon. The average high for this time of year is about 3 degrees. With the mild weather and scattered showers through the day, there’s potential of some localized flooding. The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority issued a flood outlook statement, suggesting water levels may rise over the next day or so. All rivers within the GTA may experience higher flows and water levels, resulting in potential flooding and hazardous conditions, especially behind bridges and culverts where there is quite a bit of ice buildup. This warmup will be very short lived with the mercury falling all the way back to just one or two degrees through the weekend.

Grounding of Boeing 737 Max 8s creates headaches for March break travellers

We’re right in the middle of March Break and the million dollar question this morning is what will tens of thousands of march breakers state side do now that the Boeing 737 MAX 8 has also been grounded south of the border. Air Canada has 24 MAX 8s and WestJet has 13, leaving concerns that many travellers could be left temporarily stranded. Both airlines say they are working to rebook impacted customers but there are no guarantees and many travellers are looking at potential delays or cancellations. The American move came after transport minister Marc Garneau closed Canadian skies to the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft amid safety concerns arising from the crash of an Ethiopian Airlines flight that killed everyone on board, including 18 Canadians.

Leafs' comeback against Blackhawks too little, too late

The Maple Leafs finally showed up to play in the third period of Wednesday night`s game but it was too little, too late as they lost 5-4 to the Chicago Blackhawks at Scotiabank Arena.
