@kenrod you can see the stars in the night sky each evening around 5:30pm to the Southwest. They get bigger and brighter as the week goes on

Actually, Jupiter and Saturn are not getting bigger and brighter as the week goes on. If anything they are getting smaller and dimmer as Earth's orbit is faster around the Sun and Jupiter and Saturn are actually on the other side of the solar system.

As the week goes on, the planets are appearing to get closer together. They really are not as Saturn is twice as far from Earth as Jupiter is.

Also, if you draw an imaginary line between Jupiter and Saturn, and follow that line eastward, looking south you will see an orange luminary. That is Mars. It too is getting smaller and dimmer as Earth's orbit is faster around the Sun than Mars.

Winter Weather Travel Advisory in effect today.

A narrow band of lake effect snow has developed over western Lake Ontario and is expected to move inland early this morning. This band will be over the Burlington area early this morning and slowly shift northwards reaching the southwestern section of the City of Toronto by mid morning. Through the afternoon the band will drift south, reaching downtown Hamilton in the evening. Total snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are possible by the time snow tapers off overnight with snowfall rates of several centimeters per hour likely.

Under the lake effect bands heavy bursts of snow and blowing snow can significantly reduce visibilities.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution and be prepared for quickly changing driving conditions. Consider postponing non essential travel as snow covered and icy roads are expected.

Well yesterday was a bust for the white stuff, but it was bitterly cold. This morning I see a dusting of white stuff. We'll see if that continues over the course of today. From the sounds of it, more restrictions will be put onto place with the numbers on the rise. Please, take care & stay safe.
