has won a majority in the House of Commons!

The new prime minister, head of the Crackhead Party,
or at least he thinks he’s head of the party, Dave, says
the first bill they pass will be to give more people
money so they can buy their own drugs and not be
a burden on society.
The former prime minister says they stole his idea.
He may be right. I can’t remember. Neither can anyone else.
Everyone’s stoned all the time.

In another news story Frito-Lay refuses to send munchie trucks
across the border into Canada. Too high-risk they say.
Can’t get insurance.

No one showed up.

Good morning fellow Canucks!

H team, are you back from Alaska yet? Perhaps we should go on vacation together. You went to Alaska the same year as we did, and several years ago we both went to Newfoundland at different times, but the same year.

Speaking of Newfoundland, way back in 2019, I won a trip to "chase icebergs" in Newfoundland. Because I won the trip in July 2019, iceberg season was essentially over. The prize consisted of round trip flights to Deer Lake for two, 5 night hotel accommodations and a very nice ski resort, $500 for food and a 4 day tour to chase icebergs. So I booked the trip for June 2020. But that was when the pandemic hit and all of my flights were cancelled.

Earlier this year I reached out to the contest people and they agreed to honour the trip. Yay for me!!! So I booked the trip for June of this year. But then I got Covid a week before we were to go, so I had to postpone the trip once again. All summer long the contest people were trying to get another flight voucher from Air Canada, but of course Air Canada as well as other airlines had issues of its own this summer. Last week we finally received the flight voucher, so I booked the trip for later this month. We won't be seeing any icebergs, but I told everyone at the contest that I will just rent a car at my expense and go on day trips.

I am looking forward to this trip, and hopefully no Covid will get in the way this time. Otherwise, three strikes and I am out.
