    Shhhhh....you'll blow my cover.
    I'm spying for Bon Jovi.
    They've kidnapped Stewy and won't
release him until I explain rock and roll to them.

I told them I was Jimmy Page's cousin which
is 100% true except for the lying part.

OMG - I'd completely forgotten about those. I remember thinking our neighbours were so cool when they had one installed - only to find out it looked like a Contempra, but actually had a tiny rotary instead of buttons!!

    Hope everyone enjoyed their day.

The treat dispensers came by today to make sure the critters aren't starving.

I think I'm ready for a nap. I ran into some doggy neighbours when I went to get the mail. Nothing like having a pair of Dobermans trying to kiss ya.

    Night all.

The rotary phone was perhaps better for calling in way back, depending on the switching gear you had to get through.
If you held the number after you rotated it, you could increase your chances of catching your way through the old analog switch gear.
The theory was less calls, but increased probability of finding a connection.
Once the switching went to digital all advantage was lost.
I remember when it changed in our part of Scarborough, we lost our Axminster (29_) number series.
But I never understood why Willowdale got to kept the Baldwin (22_) series?
