Good morning, everyone.

Fun day today. Lunch with some nice folks, then snacks/light dinner with friends. Then I don't eat for days.

Off to get breakfast for the critters, before they riot.

Oh and Lee-I was driving down Trafalgar yesterday and saw a new church just down from Dundas on the right that sells Ukrainian food on Thursdays 4-7(?) just thought I'd throw that at you, and I only made cabbage rolls, I'm not ambitious enough to make perogies on the same day anymore!

Thanks aloha!! "My" church (that I can't remember the last time I went to) is at Cawthra and Burnhamthorpe. They also sell perogies - I think on Wednesday mornings. They usually have a Christmas bazaar at the beginning of November too, and sell all types of Ukrainian food... I must make a trip this year...

I came across this great parenting guide earlier today and thought I should share it with you. If any of you are new parents you really need to know this stuff! I wish I'd have seen it when my kids were babies, maybe they wouldn't be so messed up now!

I don't recall who posted about using an empty water bottle as an egg separator;
Tried it last night as I was making Pasta Carbonara and it called for two yokes.
Managed the first one perfectly, messed up the second but scored on the third.
Daisy was happy, she got the whites and the one I messed up.

I will use it again, but look for a better bottle, that recovers it shape a bit better and doesn't crease.

HAPPY PSUNDAY!
sort of a miss mash of weather today. definitely on the cool side, but sunny for most of it. there are some dark clouds that are coming down from the north that look like they might bring rain & sounds like all this week is going to be on the cool side. although attitash may still be in shorts & t-shirt, mine are put away till next year, pants, shirt & possibly my jacket for me.

Finally home. Lotsa catching up to do after being away a month.
Suffice to say the Alaska trip was outstanding. 2,000 miles of driving within Alaska and Yukon over the first 10 days and then 2 weeks of cruising left us with many stark memories. Northern lights was the only no-show.
May take a while to organize the photos - not my specialty; i just take 'em. The kween will have her hands full getting that project together and once done I promise to share.
We consistently won "name that tune" on the ship and I even got to do a duet with a singer/guitarist from California on "Hallelujah", which was an amazing experience.
Congratulations to all the new heart recipients and a heartfelt welcome home to Loocie.
Got to sleep; launder; unpack; shop; fix the dogs allergies again. Then Monday - "Yikes" back to w*rk
