Daisy has a bad ear infection, too much swimming I guess.
Got three different meds from the vet yesterday.
Not her picture, but much the same, both ears!
    Poor baby, very uncomfortable
The vet shaved the side of her face.
    Daddy Dog care today!
My Golden has chronic ear problems too, and always because of swimming at the beach in the summer. My vet suggested a small pre-swim dosing of Burrows solution but she has yet to swim this year. Poor Daisy, I hope it clears up soon...

    Poor Daisy!

Lily dog had bad ear infections when I got her from the shelter. I used a mix of 50/50 rubbing alcohol and vinegar to clear them up (the vinegar kills the infection, the rubbing alcohol keeps the ear dry). Soak a cotton ball and squeeze it into the ear, leaving the cotton there for a minute or so until the liquid gets into the ear canal.

You might want to put some rubbing alcohol in her ear after each trip to the beach (also works great for humans with swimmers ear).

    Hope she feels better soon.

    Good morning, everyone.

I had a nasty headache yesterday, so had a lay on the couch with the critters day.

I saw a glimmer of sunlight early this morning (when Lily dog finally agreed to go outside - poor girl has been refusing all requests to go outside since yesterday morning), but now it's getting dark again. We had lots of rain yesterday, luckily no power outage. One of my neighbours had a 2 hour trek getting home (usually a 15 minute streetcar ride) - the streetcar wasn't running and the water was past her ankles, so she decided to wait out the storm. Eek. So happy I stayed inside where it was nice and dry.

Waiting to see whether we'll get rain this morning. I may or may not wander down to the grocery store, just to get out a bit.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Oh Andi, the cotton ball idea is excellent! When my pup has had trouble in the past, I have used a little squeezy bottle vet gives me and the dog now turns her head and slinks away when she sees it, I am going to do this for sure next time-thank you!

Dont know if any of you have seen this but the Itunes App Store has a bunch of free apps right now. According to Chris Abel (Planet of the Apps) it is perhaps because of July 10th being the 5th anniversary of the app store. My kids were freaking out about the pro DJ which is usually 19.99 and is free today. For the younger kids (grandparents like Kawam, et al) there is a great free interactive atlas. Here is the link to his blog http://www.newstalk1010.com/blog/pla...tryID=10565147

Good morning, just started raining here. We got off easylast night. I left at 5:00 to see how dad was doing and it was raining hard, but nothing like the west end. Markham and Thornhill were spared though we lostpower for a few hours, which ended up being a great time to install a new toiletas nobody was cooking. At work I was watching this big black cloud sucking upsmaller clouds, though it may generate a twister but it was just hard rain andlighting. Pictures from my phone. Well have a good day and stay dry.

The card game Eight retired Jewish fellows were playing poker in the condo clubhouse when Meyer loses $500 on a single hand, clutches his chest, and drops dead at the table.
Showing respect for their fallen comrade, the other five continue playing, but standing up.

At the end of the game, Finklestein looks around and asks, "So, who's gonna tell his wife?"

They cut the cards. Goldberg picks the low card and has to carry the news. They tell him to be discreet, be gentle, don't make a bad situation any worse.

"Discreet? I'm the most discreet person you'll ever meet. Discretion is my middle name. Leave it to me."

Goldberg goes over to the Meyer's condo and knocks on the door.

The wife answers through the door and asks what he wants? Goldberg declares:

"Your husband just lost $500 in a poker game and is afraid to come home."

"Tell him to drop dead!" yells the wife.

"I'll go tell him." says Goldberg.

I don't like to get fixated on any one thing but since we're still on the subject of fishnet stockings and garter belts I feel I should contribute something to the discussion.
