it's back to work for me tomorrow, maybe if there's internet.
got some more of the ice chopped up from the driveway & it's suppose to warm up this weekend, so i will try & get rid of the rest of it. up to +4, sure beats -22.

Went walking down by the lake - nice but chilly down there! Only got a couple deals on a few treats! Maybe go shopping in a few days, or at least looking around downtown - never feel like it the day after!

good morning after boxing day

a quick couple of lines as as usual i should be asleep,
gee think i mentioned before am camping out at dad's and his
s/o is fun, but really when i wake up thinking he is talking
and then realize --- it is not a talk show, but his snoring!

too poooped to read back but thought since i spoke with
hydro people
you need to check to see if there has been any 'damage'
to the house hydro connection, if so need to get a
certified electrician's ok.
and then call hydro, and info them that the house is alright
with the info then hydro people will finish the connection.
hoping that makes sense.

between stepping out for smokes, don't even think about it mechman,
and checking on the cats, so looking forward to being home with
the dear nutty cats.
was glad to borrow another heater, so the poor visiting kitty
is not seeing her breath now sighing.
house was 44, sorry fahrenheit on wednesday, and that
was the warmer area.
there is a reason i mentioned to my brother who was to
have us all over for christmas, but also is a one-off ----
(no power since saturday)
that oh geee it is 20---13.
not buying lotto tickets.

Good morning all. My power was out for 26 hours but I still have some friends with no power.

well i'm at work & all is back to normal with phones & internet. Burlington store still has no power, so everything is being rerouted thru Hamilton. never a dull moment around here.

Still no power HOWEVER last evening we went out to get generator gas and pick up pizza and saw one of the main roads had streetlights going. That has given us hope that it will be soon! I am kind of a control freak and the not being able to cook, do the laundry etc has really thrown me off. I am dreaming this morning of how I will cook our turkey once the stove is working - I know, I am strange! Anyway, very glad to hear H-team has power, that is wonderful and it also means mine will be soon as well-yahooo

Looks like we got a little more of problem than just a clogged toilet. Thinking we have a collapsed pipe under the sub basement. Will give the city a call this morning and see what comes out of that.

i know your stress. all the other streets around us were getting their hydro turned on Monday & Tuesday, but we had to wait a few more days. did laundry & showered at mum's Wednesday. the hot water was so nice. sending positive vibes your way to get your hydro back on today.
