mechanic was removing a cylinder head from the motor of a Harley motorcycle when he spotted a well-known heart surgeon in his shop.

The surgeon was there, waiting for the service manager to come and take a look at his bike.

The mechanic shouted across the garage, "Hey, Doc, can I ask you a question?"

The surgeon a bit surprised, walked over to the mechanic working on the motorcycle. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked,

"So Doc, look at this engine. I open its heart, take the valves out, fix 'em, put 'em back in, and when I finish, it works just like new. So how come I get

Such a small salary and you get the really big bucks, when you and I are doing basically the same work?"

The surgeon paused, smiled and leaned over, and whispered to the mechanic...

"Try doing it with the engine running."

Dog groomer v hairdresser: A lady came into my dog shop to pick up her poodle after grooming....I said $40. She near fainted and said FORTY WHAT....I just got my hair done at the hairdresser and it wasn't that much.

I asked, did he cut your hair, bath you, clean out your ears, empty your anal glands and cut your toe nails... All under the threat of getting bit???? And then did you piss on his salon floor when you were finished?
Case closed.

Another beautiful morning out there! It started as one of those I told you so days. I won't go into detail, but the person who made the choice to ignore my good, sound & logical advice is not at Loew's. (it has to do with how you shut off your outside faucets for the winter)

There is Ribfest happening in town this weekend too. I think I would like to go & check it out.

Good morning, everyone.

Went out with a friend last night to the 1 yr anniversary of a local restaurant (we went to their opening last yr) & had a blast. After a chat with a nice lady who turned out to be the manager (we were happily sitting at a corner table where we could see everything, unfortunately the servers who were bringing the treats around forgot about us), we had service beyond compare. I tried elk for the first time (bit too gamey for me, but still yummy) and lots of other fun things. Especially enjoyed the raspberry beer (my fave, the reason we go to their sister restaurant ).

Happy Caturday! It would seem my boy got up to some mischief while I was out having a good time, he's still sleeping it off.
