evening Q sters,
the weather person is wrong again. it was suppose to rain or have showers today, it was beautiful, still is. sunny, warm with a nice breeze. spent the day getting the laundry done before noon, drying on the line took no time at all with the breeze. got the hay field cut & almost weed wacked. the weed wacker died a quarter of the way thru doing the ditches. when it 1st died, i thought i was just out of gas, went to fill it up. it restarted no problem, but when i went to give it gas, it died. keept doing that, so i figured it was a sign to stop & worry about it. came in, grabbed a hot shower & am now ready to watch my race tonight from Hotlanta. Rockit's fav driver, Happy Harvick, has the pole tonight. Mine is starting 9th. This is Jeff's 750th career start in Nascar & this track was his 1st start, 22 years ago.

Nice win there Lee. the weather has been good here this weekend.

Good evening, everyone.

Just got home a little while ago, had to get back downtown to bake Labour Day cookies in the morning for the neighbour doggies. Brats had a great time, even if they weren't invited to the BBQs. I did bring home doggy/kitty bags, so they can't be too upset with me. My friends made sure I had lots of red meat this weekend - oversized beef burgers & steak. I also got some really yummy chicken (chicken breast soaked for 2 hours in white wine, then marinated with olive oil, rosemary, thyme, salt & pepper, then put on the BBQ). I am so very very stuffed. If this doesn't replenish the blood I've lost, nothing will.

Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend. I'll be off to bed soon - too much fresh air for this city gal.

Evening last, myself and an unnamed 6 yr. old accomplice enter the local 7/11.
Posing as a responsible adult I advise the shop keep I was sent by the child's
mother to acquire colourful fireworks to entertain the neighbourhood children.
He buys the story.
I give the little rag-a-muffin a wry smile and a little nudge.
She still refuses to cough up her dough so I'm forced to pay myself
with funds acquired semi-legally by Stewy and myself.
We meet the crew at the pre-determined co-ordinates at the designated time.
We dive for the ground as a police cruiser passes.
I'm for tying all the fuses together and blowing everything at once but cooler
heads prevail as the eight year old convinces everyone that lighting them one
at a time would be more fun and they would still have their hands to do homework with.
To choruses of ' down with those damn Liberals, ' we set off our explosives with loud
bangs and colourful displays!
Everyone retires to root beer and other adult beverages.
Another Labour Day celebration is concluded and no one died. Damn, better luck next year!
