Tough task...two very different but important jobs. Not aware of any current amalgamations between the two in Ontario but have know of many that failed. Some sucess in western Canada & the USA but totally different worlds.

CUPE 416 has constructed several creative 'straw man' arguments and are in fact engaging in public scare tactics. This is consistent with CUPE's usual lack of professionalism. The truth is that if an amalgamation were to be successful (and I am not suggesting that this is necessarily desirable) it would require the medics being removed from CUPE 416 and being placed into TPFFA 3888. The losers in this would be the exec of 416 who would no longer have any legitimate emergency services to withdraw the next time they strike.

416, fight your own battles, work to improve your own service. Making fire seem like your enemy has no logical foundation and ultimately will prove to be a grave strategic political error.

afternoon Q sters,
another nice day. 9 more days till the rodent heads west. she`s known since May that she would be going & you`d think that she`d have everything packed by now. now yet. she`s only moving clothes & books, no furniture. bugged her last night when i got home to see if she`s done yet yet. the couriers are coming monday to pack & ship all the boxes by tuesday. that way they will be there late friday & she will get it on the following monday. i may get my house back. with all her stuff gone, i can then move the bed out & finish putting hardwood flooring down. had started doing the upstairs, got mine & the spare room done, but then she took over the spare room with her boxes. been kidding her on how i`m going to make her room into an ensuite with a hot tub. now would i do that...........

The Concert was GREAT!!!!
My Seats were at the back (almost centre), but Fine.

Ann & Nancy were in Fine Form.
Ann can still hit those Notes and Nancy can still kick-it at the Guitar.
For "These Dreams", Nancy sang it Beautifully while Ann accompanied and played the Flute.
"Alone" was slowed down and Amazing.
Loved it when Nancy went Front Stage and started to squale out the Intro to "Crazy on You" with an Acoustic Guitar.
It Blew me Away when they did "Going to California"!!!!
This Song was mainly just Ann & Nancy both playing Guitars & Singing (a Drum beat came in later).
The YouTube Vids that I have checked only show Nancy playing Guitar (or Mandolin).

Loved Their Performance and Highly Recommend seeing them Live if available!!!!

Def Leppard were Excellent as Expected!!!!
I have seen them before and they still sound Great!!!!
At one point during "Bringin' on the Heartbreak", they stopped and commented on how they try to do things a little different, but we (the Audience) made it sound like the Album. This was a Good Comment (not Sarcastic).

Heart played for 1 hour while DL played for 1.5 hours.
These 2x Bands make an Excellent Venue to see!!!!

I did not get any Pics worth Posting as they did not turn out well due to the distance from the Stage.

it`s too bad about no pics, but thanx for the great review. would love to have gone. seen Def Leppard several times, but never seen Heart.
