So in addition to the kidney & pancreas, I think I might need a brain transplant soon. Thought I was supposed to bring dessert tomorrow, turns out it`s appetizers. No problem, I just have to run out to the store to pick up a few things. I get all my items, get ready to pay, & pull out my nice little bag of homemade doggy treats instead of my wallet. Darn cashier wouldn`t accept cookies in lieu of cash, so I had to leave my groceries and go all the way home for my wallet, then all the way back.

I feel like such an idiot.

On the plus side, the cashier and the folks behind me in line did have a good laugh.

What an amazing day today was!! Who would have thought we had July in September....????

Serendipity Princess went by me for two excursions this afternoon... a great way of experiencing "my" lake when the leaves are changing their colours!!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their day!!!

Sorry Ecat, but you are very misinformed.

I don't hunt, but enjoy the spoils.
Multiple generations have provided off the family farm.
Sorry you don't get it, but it is good.

Many of us eat meat, fowl and fish.
Providing off the land, is a skill to be honoured.
yes, I realize people have provided off the family farms mm, but so called hunting is not needed now - people used to kill for food but they don't have to do that any longer - it's one thing for people who have no other means to eat or can't obtain any other source of food or afford it but these days it has been turned into a so called sport - hunters who stalk their prey like animals do instinctively - they feel a thrill to kill an innocent animal living in nature as they should be and actually look forward to doing it!!!! not what we are speaking of exactly but some so called hunters enjoy "canned" hunting where they pay a lot of money to kill an animal that has no way to escape and are enclosed in on a plot of land..........

sometimes ptpulation control may be needed but usually natural predators maintain the balance killing only the weakest or sickest animals whereas "hunters" will kill any animal sometimes for food which isn't needed or for a so called trophy which I will never agree with.....

also, many hunters injure their "prey" leaving them with a painful prolonged death not to mention taking the mothers away from many young animals who then die or are taken away to live their lives out in a zoo because they can't look after themselves.... also, all the loud gunfire causes a lot of stress and fear to those animals in the woods etc while so called hunters are out to kill them...........

many hunters also kill for an animals fur, tusks, antlers etc etc many of which will become extinct from too much "killing"

I just can't agree with it - duck hunting what for???? why kill those poor things.....etc etc.

yes, I know many people eat meat, fowl and fish but many people also have stopped eating it after learning about where their meat and fowl has come from - which brings me back to the hunting aspect - there are so many billions of animals raised to suffer in factory farms just to be eaten by people which enjoy the taste that why do they have to go out and kill them themselves also for food..........many people including myself who have learned about where your supermarket food has come from and the extreme suffering of chickens, turkeys, pigs, cattle etc raised for this purpose have stopped eating it - I don't see how people can continue buying it unless they are still ignorant of where it has come from or just don't care...........

that's the way I feel - you may think I don't "get it" but I wonder if you really "get it".........

    Good morning, everyone.

Up extra extra early for some reason. Brats are still in bed, so I have to type quietly. Still have to make the spinach dip, but I won't start on that until everyone's up...don't want to take a chance that someone will get hurt racing to the kitchen.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

    good morning

and i of course feel like an asinine idiot, as no one in their right mind,
thinks because they 'feel' something awful has happened, that someone
has died - so i aplogize for being that asinine idiot.

ann has finally been moved to oncology, had a treatment and her sister
fixed up her hair and did her nails - and she was able to eat.
which considering what i had been hearing/not hearing is too terrifiic.
    and she sounds glad.

on the 'why did i feel bad news was coming?' sometime after i posted that,
i fell off the side of the bathtub, after opening the window
    on thursday, or wednesday.
so was asleep for a day or so,,, losing track of time.
blame codeine and me - i do.
using cane now which i haven't for a ton of years, whoopi.

but on the fun side after hearing some crazy cat fight with el madcat outside,
poor girl got her in and when she was glubbing food down,
i tried to transfer my tea to the hand nearest the microwave,,
you guessed it- half a cup of tea onto her back.
so tea throughout the kitchen etc.
and had to find madcat immediately, to clean her off.
would anyone want a cat - on caffeine in the house?
especailly how ppphhhttt things have been.
