I think I'll make a carrot cake for my family as a Thanksgiving treat. It's easy to make, it tastes pretty good & everyone seems to like it.

No way, no how I'm cleaning this place for all our guests,
Are they here cause they like us or is it for the non contests?
I hope that they at least brought some appetizers,
Finger foods, nachos, cold cuts & fresh kaisers,
Beer & spirits so we can make some cocktails,
Like Harvey Wallbangers, Slings or some Rusty Nails,
Maybe some savory crackers to go with the dip,
If everyone brings something it will be a pip!
Are the guests planning to stay here for lunch?
I hear Lee03 & Sparty make a very nice punch,
I'm baking cookies & I will gladly share,
But guests I'm recommending that you bring your own chair.

evening Q sters,
had a fun working today, but was finished by 2 pm, so i was able to get some grocery shopping done, then the hay field cut, just in case it does rain on Monday. waiting for my race to start, but some football game is hogging the channel. They finished 1 college game & instead of going to the race, they switched to watch the last 13 mins of another college game, which has taken over a half hour to play. Still 4:30 to go. This is the play-offs, for crying out loud. college games are just regular season.......................................ahhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhh!

crazy week i had, speaking of crazy, our company is opening an office in Calgary, so we had the new operations manager visiting all last week, so i am driving him downtown to a job site, and he mentions he is originally from Wiarton, Ontario, then he starts talking about his best friend Darrin coming down to visit him, I turn to him and ask him if his nickname is Crazy Redneck! sure enough it was, so I had dinner with Crazy Redneck last Thusday. Small world!!!!

Horse walks through sliding doors at police station

Police in the UK had an unlikely visitor at a rural headquarters; a small horse. According to Cheshire Police, they welcome all kinds of visitors at their station but they never expected to see a small horse trot through their automatic sliding doors.

Superintendent Peter Crowcroft said of the incident, "We were somewhat saddled with our unexpected guest, who in the early hours of the morning quickly became the mane event of the night shift. We like to ensure a warm welcome to all our guests at HQ, and at neigh point did the horse pose a risk to security and appeared to be a well cared for animal"

The small brown and white horse resides on a nearby farm, and officers managed to escort the animal back to its real home. Some commenters online speculate the horse was looking to stay warm, but perhaps it was just looking for a job.
