Environment Canada Lifts Heat Warning For GTA

A heat warning for Toronto and the GTA has been ended by Environment Canada. It had been in place since Sunday. Environment Canada says the criteria for a heat warning is a forecast high of 31 degrees. Today's is 29 degrees, but with the humidex it could feel more like 37.

HOV Lane Restrictions Being Lifted Tonight

The temporary HOV lanes put in place for the Pan Am Games will be lifted today but not until 11 p.m, Signs will come down and the diamond markings will be removed. Most other lane markings will remain in place but will fade over time. Regardless of markings, HOV lanes are not in effect as of 11 p.m.

Adidas Lands NHL Jersey Deal

The National Hockey League appears poised for radical changes to its team jerseys in the wake of a deal that may pave the way for advertising on team uniforms. Reports show that Adidas has won a long-term deal to make uniforms for the 30 NHL teams, beginning in the 2017-18 season.
