Ontario to Spend $8.3B on Climate Change

Ontario's action plan on climate change will be unveiled today and it will include financial incentives to get cleaner, more efficient cars and trucks on the roads and to convince homeowners and businesses to lower their carbon footprints. The plan, calls for government spending of $5.9 billion to $8.3 billion on climate change initiatives over the next five years. Environment and Climate Change Minister Glen Murray said Tuesday the plan will add about $5 a month to home heating bills and 4.3 cents a litre to the price of gasoline. Then the government better allow the houses & farms with solar & wind power to use in their own homes to help reduce the carbon footprint, instead of jacking up hydro & gas rates.

Hillary Clinton Victorious in Democratic Primary

Powered by a strong showing in California, Hillary Clinton declared victory in her yearlong battle for the heart of the Democratic party, seizing her place in history and setting out on the difficult task of fusing a fractured party to confront Donald Trump. Clinton cruised to easy victories in three of the six state contests on Tuesday – including delegate-rich New Jersey. President Barack Obama called both Sanders and Clinton late Tuesday, congratulating both on their campaigns.

Jays Waste Sanchez's Gem in 10-Inning Loss to Tigers

Ian Kinsler drove in the winning run with a 10th-inning single, and the Detroit Tigers won their fifth straight game, 3-2 over the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday night. The Tigers tied it with two runs in the ninth, spoiling an outstanding eight-inning, 12-strikeout gem by Blue Jays starter Aaron Sanchez.

Good Morning to all. I still slept with my window open last night. Had quite a Tuesday. I'm off the Clinivsl Trial Study drug. This is the first time in well over a year that I haven't been taking any active treatment. I'm not sure how I feel except that my feelings are mixed. Scans were good & I was pleased with that. I'll be seeing Ophthalmology at PMH & get this little problem attended to. I wish you all a whimsical Wednesday.
