Good morning. I remember this day back in 1969 with the family crowed around the TV late at night, watching them step out on to the moon with utter fascination and wonder, as to what was next. As a kid I wondered if traveling to the stars like Star Trek would be in the near future. Even got star maps to see where we could go. Then you change as we got older, I found sex and drugs and rock and roll and the stars did not hold the same fascination. And now that I’m older thank goodness that I still like sex and rock and roll as we are not getting to those stars in my life time. But still when I look up at the moon I remember those brave men walking up here. I still have copies of the Globe and Mail and the Toronto Telegram from the next day.

I was at Killbear camping, but we went into Parry Sound to my mother's cousin's apartment to watch live.
He was a high school science teacher and lived in an apartment in town.
(It happened to be above the Ron and Bobby Orr store, OK different story).
Summer of '69, I was 13 years old.
Lot of good sh|t going on that year!
Bryan didn't know the half of it (He was born in 59)...

Hello every1. Well, I've survived the last few days, but barely.

The BBQ when well. We had cedar plank salmon, fresh corn on the cob, and baked potatoes. Strawberry shortcake for dessert. The last friend left about 1 a.m. At least I have enough left overs for dinner tonight.

This morning didn't go particularly well. 6:00 is way too early for me, so I guess I was really tired. First, I slipped in the tub; I didn't fall, but twisted my bad leg. Then, I knocked a glass of juice off the counter, breaking the glass, and sending chards and juice all over the floor. Now, I was running late, so was hurrying. I got my fingers caught in the garage door. So, they're black & blue, and hurt like he!! I think I'm going to lose at least one nail.

Otherwise, it's been a productive couple of days.

I hope you're all doing well, and enjoying the weather.

Glad the bbq went well, hicks! but good grief! take it easy!

i was at summer camp. we were all outside and they rolled out the tv on one of those tall stands. as we watched the moon landing, we could see the moon in the sky beside the tv. it was surreal.
