Still a bit numb from shock. Going home later today to get mail and check in with some neighbours & friends. Both bffs have been keeping a close eye on me, making sure I remember to eat (as if the brats would let me forget ). This week will be a bit tough, dealing with paperwork will make things a bit too real.

I've been holding up ok, although the oddest things set me off. The other day, bff took me shopping and a song came on the radio that my Mom loved. Sheesh, only I would cry because of Black Sabbath.

Better get going. Will try to check in more regularly.

Monday already? It just seems like yesterday it was Friday! Now we have to go through the whole week to get back to where we want to be.

Well folks, with my lunchtime walking I have been doing since May, I've dropped some weight. My pants were falling down and I looked like one of those teenagers with their underwear showing. Today I tried out one of my old jeans. And guess what? They fit!!! Not only do they fit, but they are great for dancing as well. More ballroom.

WOW it is hot out there especially when doing heavy physical labour.
Have been cutting and splitting wood for the winter and cannot take more than 30 minutes of it before I have to come inside and cool down. The good part is that its almost 1 o'clock and I can cool down with an ice cold beer.
Just splitting wood so no power tools involved. This last batch of hard wood maple has been drying for two years and it is so hard to split, but at least it is ready right now for burning.
There are going to be many hot fires in my airtight insert this winter.
